My favorite restaurant in the entire town for lunch! My husband and I travel from TN to black mountain every so often and we always always ALWAYS make sure to come to Veranda for a soup and sandwich lunch. I’d post a picture of the food but I don’t think I’ve ever once gotten a picture before demolishing the plate.

Great spot for lunch. Came here in November for lunch with friends and was not disappointed. They were very accommodating and friendly. I ordered the mushroom soup which was very tasty, rich in flavor, fresh and filling. I also orederd the roast beef sandwich and got it grilled. Very good, fresh roast beef both tender and tasty. They were fast with making our food but not suspiciously fast. Good sized serving and the atmosphere is fun and very open. Street parking only you pay at the register near the front of the store (cash or credit). They have home items for sale also in the front of the space. I will definitely be back!

This is our favorite restaurant in Black Mountain NC. Always great food and good service. There are daily specials, soups,flavored teas and desserts that change regularly.
My wife had a cup of soup and a half sandwich with hibiscus blueberry tea. I had a full sandwich with potato chips. Both were wonderful, and we were too full to try the desserts. We were tempted to get some to take home, but we wisely refrained after thinking about how full we were.
After eating we took a stroll around town and visited some of the nearby shops. You can’t find a better way to enjoy the day!

He Veranda has been our favorite place for lunch in Black Mountain for over 10 years. Consistently good food! It has been under new owners for a few years and we were thrilled to see it still has amazing lunches if homemade soups, salads, sandwiches and desserts. On this visit I had the tasty Kay Salad topped with their delicious homemade chicken salad and homemade bread. My husband was delighted with the Meatloaf panini. Terrific!
