We are a family run business in Austin, Texas, founded by sisters Reyna and Maritza Vazquez in 2008. Our passion is cooking traditional, authentic food from our hometown of Veracruz, and other regions in Mexico. Some of our recipes have been passed down in our family for several generations, and we pride ourselves in cooking homemade food and using fresh, natural ingredients.

I was in Austin, TX for a work trip and was recommended to go to Veracruz at the Line hotel by a local. I’m from the Northeast and these were some of the best tacos i’ve ever had. They were fresh and delicious. I got 2 chicken tacos and 1 steak taco. My only regret was not getting more tacos to go for my trip home on the plane! Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting.

Veracruz Taco Shop absolutely deserves five stars! We had the steak and barbacoa tacos, and both were incredibly juicy and delicious. The steak was perfectly seasoned and tender, while the barbacoa was rich, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. Every bite was packed with authentic flavor, and the fresh toppings brought everything together beautifully. The service was friendly and fast, and the overall vibe made the experience even better.

The service time can be a little longer but this is design because they are not a fast food place and they use fresh ingredients. We had tacos – Grilled Chicken, Grilled Fish, Migas Originales tacos and including vegetarian options – El Diferente, Furioso. All the tacos were yummy and fresh. The location is great too – very close to lady bird lake. They have clean restrooms.
The one thing that can make this even more family friendly is having a diaper changing station in the restrooms.

Most delicious tacos I’ve had in a long time. The handmade flour tortillas are light and fluffy, thick enough to hold all of the ingredients, but they don’t get in the way of the ingredients inside. I ordered the chicken taco and the migas taco, both were amazing. The Mexico lindo smoothie was to my surprise extremely fruity and flavorful, none of the fruits came through too strong and it was an extremely well balanced smoothie. I would definitely return again. Only downside was the difficulty in finding parking nearby

This place is just incredible. I had the two types of the seafood tacos that they are offering grilled shrimp with Matcha and fish. Both were out of this world. I also took an extra of rice and beans which was very flavorful. Food is not very photogenic, but it’s seriously the real thing everything is wrapped for a take away, but you can sit indoors or take it to the nearby park.

Shrimp taco was alright but the al pastor taco stood out with its charred taste layered over its spices. Indeed both tacos were fresh and paired well with their strawberry agua Fresca.

The Torta Al pastor was incredible especially paired with the auga Fresca pina! The salsa was spicy and flavorful. I will %100 be back!

Well we ordered to go. We’re staying in the building but they made us go to an outside window to pick it up. The guy told me there was everything in the bag, but there wasn’t. When I called to tell them, I just got an automated message and was told to check their website for questions. No actual person answered the phone to help. It would’ve been a very simple fix but they couldn’t fix it if they don’t actually have a way to reach them. The food was alright, but for the price point I don’t think it’s worth.

Food was good, not amazing. No parking. Some what expensive. And service was okay, had to wait 20 minutes for two to-go tacos, at a place that mainly serves tacos. And the shrimp in my taco were WAY overcooked. Tacos were about $7 each and kinda small. But flavor was on point and salsas / sauces were delicious.
