Well I didn’t actually eat here. In fact I did not even go in. I was parked right outside in the parking lot because we were at the beach. But while I was there I did look up some other reviews and pictures and I see a lot of good stuff. Looks like it will cost a fortune to eat here. Well I’m a poor boy so that will have to wait until I get my inheritance. This will be the first place I go.

So far so good. The cocktails are quite good as would be expected from there second outpost, although a little variable. A friend and I each had the white Negroni and one was significantly, incorrectly, sweeter than the other. Overall high marks for the food, the halibut fish and chips was really good. There was a steak dish that the cut of meat was not very good, even though it was medium rare it was really tough. But that was the only disappointment of the night. Oh yeah, what people say about the hush puppies, it’s true…

We sat at the bar and had a really nice time. The bartender was friendly but clueless. Knew nothing on the menu what was local etc. But at least friendly and willing to ask. What we really enjoyed was the Caesar salad and the local sea bass simply grilled. Both yummy. What was a bit of a miss was the crab cakes app for $24. It’s made with Dungenous crab my absolute favorite. Where they missed was the crab was mushed up so fine was an unpleasant texture rather than leaving in nice size lumps. Also there was uncooked peppers. The other two dishes made up for it why I leave 4 stars.

Nice to see a fresh place in town. If you were expecting Cafe Rio food and service you’ll be disappointed. Wife got clams and pasta. Six small clams! Sauce was meh. I got fish and chips. Way overdone halibut. Fries were good tho. Couple drinks and over $100! And the bill included a 4% charge without any explanation. Not sure they’re gonna last long. Not coming back.

It was a first visit for us. Nice atmosphere, excellent service (Taylor was great) and food was good. Our seasonal fruit salad was very good. The el lardon burger was superb, the oysters were good, but not that fresh. Focaccia was good and my ahi crudo very good.

Went for dinner with my teenage boys. Shared the crab cakes which were so delicious. One boy got the calamari roll and after said he’d have another instead of dessert he loved it so much. Mac and cheese was soupy but tasty, Cesar salad was huge. Crème brûlée was one of the best I’ve had and the chocolate torte was so rich we couldn’t finish it.
