Venue by M4: Weekday Lunch Check-In
If you’re looking for an Ann Arbor escape without the downtown parking headache, Venue by M4 is a solid option, just ten minutes out or less.
I stopped in for a weekday lunch. The atmosphere is calm—it wasn’t crowded, which made for a relaxed experience. The staffs were friendly and attentive, which always helps.
The lunch menu is priced fairly, offering good value for the location. The absolute must-order is the Boar Pasta. It was cooked perfectly, demonstrating actual kitchen skill, and completely lacked the wild, gamey odor that usually puts people off. It’s the dish to get.
Bottom line: I’m coming back

Came here for my bff’s bday —— there’s 9 of us at least.
Overall this place was AMAZING! Ordered fettuccini and it was so delicious!
They have LIVE JAZZ MUSIC so that’s another PLUS!
I love how they used screens/TV to display most of the arts/portraits so they’re not showing the same art in one frame —- basically they have slideshows of arts.
This place is like a tiny museum that you can have a fancy dinner for one, two, or group of more than 10!!
Highly recommended! Will definitely come back!
My friend had a reservation so there was no wait at all.

I hosted the best bridal brunch ever here! The staff was very helpful in choosing menu items for my guests (Including those that had dietary restrictions). I highly recommend the French toast! It definitely got the most compliments! This was a fun space with a more industrial vibe. There was plenty of room for the guests to mingle. Their employees were more than willing to meet our needs from the minute we walked in until the minute we left. The staff’s attention to detail brought my daughter‘s vision to life!

Enjoyed a lovely dinner date here! Our server was lovely and made wonderful food suggestions. We started with the most tender and delicious fried calamari’s followed up with taco platter. We couldn’t decide which tacos to order, so we ended up getting one of each. We loved their handmade fresh pasta (Torchio with cured pork sugo) and the pizza of the day! (totally forgot what it was) We ended our dinner with a nice warm brownie fudge sundae! Loved the aesthetic and atmosphere of this place!

ORIGINAL REVIEW: It was just…okay. We went in for Sunday brunch, tried the Eggs in Purgatory, a side of Banana bread, Biscuits and Gravy, and some caramel lattes. Everything tasted fine, good but nothing extraordinary, and certainly nothing that justified the relatively high prices. The best part of the experience was honestly the atmosphere, featuring a beautiful spacious and unique interior with live jazz music.
EDIT: I’m updated my review after having dinner here, its dinner menu was much better than the brunch offerings! The pesto gnocchi, crispy brussel sprouts and were top notch! The rosemary bread was nice, soft, fresh, albeit a bit basic. The nachos were okay, but could use a bit more sauce, cheese, and overall flavor. The overall service was excellent and servers were very attentive and kind! The drinks were fine, the Pink Is The New Black was a standout, while the Beach Run was just okay and kind of just tasted like a bubbly Capri Sun. Overall, I would definitely recommend checking this place out for dinner, but for brunch you can probably go elsewhere.

This is a beautiful establishment. Service was amazing. Our waitress helped with recommendations and even helped do a “build a burger”. The Sour Cherry burger was outstanding! The flavors mixed well together. The Vacherin was one of the best desserts I’ve ever had!

I recently hosted a Girls’ Night at The Venue by 4M in Ann Arbor, and it was absolutely perfect! From start to finish, the staff was incredibly accommodating, helping me figure out the best setup for our large group. Everyone in my party raved about the amazing drinks, delicious food, and top-tier service—they truly made the night special.
I also went back for Valentine’s Day this year, and while we didn’t do the chef’s course, everything we ordered off the regular menu was a delight. There was a bit of a longer wait past our reservation time, but since we could grab drinks in the waiting area, it wasn’t an issue at all.
Whether you’re planning a group gathering or a special night out, The Venue by 4M is an excellent choice. I’ll definitely be back!

First time in, and this was the adult dining experience we have been looking for. Got the Caesar salad, which I loved (wife thought it was a bit fishy due to the anchovy, but that made it great IMO), chef’s special elevated Chicago beef and fries, the gnocchi with pistacho and pesto sauce, a dessert we couldn’t pronounce but loved, a couple mixed drinks, and coffee, all for $99 before gratuity. Our server Sarah was an absolute delight, pacing was great for a 90-minute dinner that left us thoroughly satisfied. I loved the space and ambiance. Restrooms also clean and beautiful. Wish I would have taken pics, as presentation of everything was also excellent. Highly recommend and will be back.

Went for lunch. It wasn’t busy at the time, and the service was good. The food was good, but portion sizes were quite small on the appetizers. The sourdough pizza was interesting. I think it worked okay with the pizza flavors I had but it certainly stood out in flavor.

I had a great experience at this restaurant. The space is spacious and clean, which made for a comfortable dining atmosphere. The food was flavorful without being overly salty—something I really appreciated. The pizza had a wonderfully chewy crust, and the veggies tasted super fresh.
My favorite dish was the fish and chips. It wasn’t made with cod, but another type of fish (I can’t remember the name), and it was absolutely delicious—crispy on the outside and tender inside. I’d definitely come back again!
