We thought it was just a bar when we walked in, but we stayed and the food was very good. It took a bit but it was worth it. My husband is picky about fried chicken, but he loved it.

The Venu is a new restaurant here in Greenville that you definitely need to put on your “TO-DO” list. Why? Because the food is delicious and what you’re looking for when it comes to soul food. I had fried whiting fish, collard greens and mac. I’ve been thinking about that fried fish since. It was seasoned to perfection and so good. The menu varies slightly daily so I can’t wait to catch that sweet potato cobbler. I’m definitely going back because the ambiance is inviting and the food is amazing. Go see for yourself.

The food was delicious, and our server was the absolute sweetest. My mom ordered the pork chop, and it was huge! My only complaint is that they did not offer white meat chicken. It’s a small thing, but it’s just my personal preference. Will definitely come again to try something else.

Very good burgers and fries. A solid takeout option for us. Fries were nicely seasoned and burgers had good flavor. The chicken sandwich was tasty too, very fresh. A nice touch was that the insides of the buns were grilled. I’m not sure what kind of ketchup they use, but it tastes great. Folks were great too. The way they set up their burgers and sandwiches with lettuce and tomato in a separate section was really helpful. Will definitely be back on a Sunday to try their soul food.

I had sunday dinner here yesterday with my family. The atmosphere was nice. The manager came out and introduced himself and welcomed us with open arms. Our server was friendly and polite as well. The food was great. It did take a little while to get our food BUT the atmosphere of the restaurant made it easy to enjoy laughter and conversation amongst ourselves. The sight and aroma of the food around us made it hard to think about anything else at the time. we really enjoyed our experience here and plan on coming again.

We arrived at a few minutes after 11 on a Thursday, my wife and I. I ordered roast beef with gravy, green beans and mac and cheese. My wife ordered fried chicken and mac and cheese. Everything down to the roll and cornbread was delicious! Obviously freshly made, good quantity, as well as good presentation. The service was great. This was our first time here and we were pleasantly surprised by the interior, very well done. I would highly recommend it. The only nit pick would be the slice of cake, white cake with strawberry frosting with chunks of strawberries, homemade, was a bit thin. We will be going back.

The food was good, waitress,the waitress blah. Several people canceled their order that was with me. Bahama mama was nasty, not accurate at all. Overcharged my friend and a couple more people for wings. .50 wings $15.95 for 12, 9 bucks for 12. The manager corrected one, the other friend just said it’d be a tip forget it.. If something is paid for, you should be able to wrap it up and take it, if you can’t finish it all regardless.
