Ventanas Bar & Restaurant is the window to the Caribbean. Where family and friends come together. We offer a quick serve lunch for dine in or take out Mon-Sat: 11am – 3pm. We cater events with our food truck, on site, catering trays, and can provide off-site full service catering with staff. We are Caribbean American fusion style. We are located at 59 North Main Street, Bristol, CT 06010.

Went here on a Saturday for date night with my husband. I was skeptical prior to arriving because I looked at the reviews, but I’m happy we didn’t listen and decided to try for ourselves.
When we were arrived we were immediately greeted & decided to sit at the bar. The bartenders were friendly and attentive even though there were several large parties in the dining room.
The restaurant is very spacious and beautifully decorated. They played Latin music in the background and even had a DJ with salsa lessons that started around 9:30pm.
For food we ordered bacalaitos for the appetizer, they were smaller than traditional bacalaitos, but it was perfect for a starter & was surprisingly not too greasy.
I had the Costilla de Res (short ribs) & risotto. The short ribs were very tender, falling off the bone, & full of flavor. The risotto was so smooth and cheesy it was delicious.
My husband ordered the Mofongo with bistec encebollado. He said it was flavorful & the meat was tender.
Overall there was great service, the vibes were on point, the food was delicious, & the drinks were great too.
Only downside, I wish they were located closer to me lol. But we will definitely be back again. I’m really hoping they stay around for the long haul. I’ve always said CT needs their own “Don Coqui” just like NYC… & I’m really hoping this is it!

My girlfriend and I meet once a month for dinner. She chose Ventanas as she had been there before. The service was friendly and personable and the atmosphere was great! There are no words to describe how delicious the food was. The owner/chef came to our table to see how our food came out and he was professional and friendly. I cannot wait to go back. If you like home cooking and authentic Latin food you will not be disappointed! I had the Pork Osso Bucco ❤️

My sister and I tried out Ventanas to support a new local restaurant. I had a reservation but we were seated at first over to the far away from the live music and main dining area. However once a table opened up in the main section, we were able to move which we appreciated as it was a more fun atmosphere near the bar area. If you have a reservation the tables in the main area should be the ones they are reserving for you but the issue was rectified after we asked. The staff did say they will be getting smaller tables next week which is good because it is currently the same large tables that were there when it was a brewery, and there is a lot of open space where tables can be. Hopefully the decor inside will also have more of a Caribbean style too.
However, once that was settled our drinks were large and plenty for the price and the food was outstanding! It took a little bit for the meals to come out but we could tell the seafood was fresh. We got the Dip for an appetizer and it could be a meal itself; it was very tasty! I got the Shrimp Risotto which was hands down the best risotto I’ve had anywhere. My sister got Salmon with shrimp and lobster mashed potatoes. She said it was good, just wished the garlic cream sauce was a bit more creamier and abundant. Overall, it was a great experience. We will have to come back when the new tables have been added and to try some of the dessert!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Ventenas Bar and Restaurant! We came from out of state to celebrate my daughter’s 30th birthday, and from the very beginning, Efrain and his wife made the entire process seamless. They are truly amazing, down-to-earth people who go above and beyond to make sure everything is perfect.

The setup was beautiful and thoughtfully arranged, creating the perfect atmosphere for such a special milestone. The catering was exceptional every detail was handled with care, and the food was absolutely delicious.

He, his wife, and their family/staff worked tirelessly behind the scenes, yet always with a smile. Their warmth and professionalism made us feel completely at ease, even though we were planning this celebration from out of state.

A good place to have food and dancing. The DJ had the dance floor moving with good music pumping all night. The food was okay, but I’ll need to visit a few more time to have a better food rating because I went late when the kitchen was about to close which could have the food service rushing in the kitchen. I’ll come back to this place again, I had a good time.

Came on a Wednesday at 6:00 and we had to wait about 10 minutes for a table. We were told they didn’t have any burgers, sandwiches, or flatbread pizzas. We ended up ordering dinners and the food was amazing. I recommend the paella. It took about 40 minutes for the appetizer to come out and then another 10 minutes for the dinner. They weren’t too busy, but I know it’s a new restaurant so they’re probably just getting the hang of things. Overall I would recommend, just have some patience. They also have $10 happy until 7pm. I had a sex on the beach and it was a bit sweet, but still good.

Went for dinner and the food was amazing-the portion size for the mixed appetizer plate was surprisingly large and the food was excellent.
I got the seafood paella and my husband got the braised short ribs-both were excellent.
The drinks were good (strong) and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Again, the portion sizes are large and the price point is very reasonable.

Ventanas is definitely a hidden gem! First off—let’s talk drinks. The bartender was beyond knowledgeable. I asked for something they didn’t have, and instead of brushing it off, she came out personally, offered me a few customized options, and nailed it. That level of service is rare.
Now to the food… I saw someone complaining about the antojitos—but as a proud Puerto Rican, let me tell you: those alcapurrias were a HIT. Perfectly seasoned, crispy on the outside, and soft and flavorful inside. Everything we ordered was 10/10. You can tell there’s love in that kitchen.
The music was just right—not too loud—so we could actually enjoy a conversation. And the waitstaff? Attentive, friendly, and fast. Honestly, from the service to the vibes, ventanas delivered a whole experience.
