A young man named Matt greeted us when we walked in and he was very friendly. He remembered that we needed to get to a show so offered recommendations that would come out quickly. Our pizza came out fast and was delicious! I got the gluten free crust and was expecting the typical cardboard taste but it was actually really good!!

Venice on Vine is a long-standing nonprofit establishment in OTR focused on helping provide work and reform for individuals facing barriers to employment, such as incarceration. And so, it is one of the few eateries in OTR truly focused on improving social good.

The service is very friendly, the food is basic Italian fare (subs, pizza, pasta), and the prices are very reasonable. It’s not the fanciest food in the neighborhood, but that’s also not the point. The prices are very reasonable for what you get and everyone is very polite.

They provide lunch service 6 days a week and dinner service 2 nights a week.

We really need more small, local, value-based places like this in the neighborhood (and the city) vs another expensive place from the big restaurant groups or chains.

This place is the worst!!!!! Me and my family visited this place today. We ordered a large meat lovers pizza and 10 wings, 5 hot,. 5 sweet chilli. When the food arrived the pizza and wings were both undercooked. The cheese was not melted and it was still doughy. The wings were cold inside. When the manager came around to see if everything was ok, I explained to her the issues, she replied and said that maybe next time we will get it right and offered the kids a free bag of chips. I was highly pissed. Save yourself the trouble and save your money!!!! Never visit this place they are rude and should be reported for selling undercooked food

Friendliest workers, great owner/chef, great food, great value. There are only a few places for the working types to eat on the cheap, and I am glad this place is one of them.

Because it is a stepping stone for people on their way up, expect cashiers on training. Order ahead if you’re not dining in, and allow some time for ringing out.

We had a great time at Venice on Vine tonight. We were a large party of 8 and everyone was pleased with his/her meal. The Party Salad is a great idea —- Family style serving at only $2 per person. We ordered a large veggie and a large pepperoni/sausage pizza (choose your toppings) and they were both delicious! The staff was friendly and eager to please. We will definitely come back! Good food made by good people! Also really enjoyed hearing a fascinating history of the area by the first person who greeted us.

Absolutely terrible, slow service. We ordered 4 waters (there were four of us, 2 couples) and the waitress came back with two glasses and set them between the couples (did she expect us to share???) We had to ask for two more! When I asked about the gluten free pizza (on the menu) the waitress checked with the kitchen and said they had it. A while later the other couple had their food brought out. An HOUR goes by and we ask about ours at the counter. THEY DIDNT HAVE ANY GLUTEN FREE PIZZA AND WERENT EVEN PLANNING ON TELLING US. They started making my husband and I salads that we didn’t even order. We told them to forget it and walked out. The absolute worst restaurant experience I have ever had. I have no idea how this place is still in business.

The freshly made dine-in pizza is very good: crisp exterior with somewhat chewy interior like good Italian bread. The veggie pizza has a good amount of both veg, cheese and sauce. The dining room is surprisingly nice with cloth-covered tables, pleasant service and good street views. Not only is the food good, the non-profit restaurant offers pre-employment learning opportunities and is worth supporting.

Great little place in OTR.
Visited beginning of December and it’s was busy. Sarah girl at front was very friendly and handled things wonderfully.
I ordered 2 pepperoni pizza slices and it was so good wished I had ordered a full pizza.
The crust was just right not undercooked or burnt. The cheese and pepperoni was in abundance.
This place has pizza and pizza by the slice.
They have many other foods I will be back to try.

Clean dining area .
They do close early sometimes doesn’t seem to be a set open or close is only complaint .
Aside from the one girl I could hear cursing in the back when I 1st came in.
Still 5 stars as the food was great and I know management can not control everything all the time.

I didn’t realize that this was a non-profit business when my daughter and I stopped by for dinner. We had a great time and the pizza was quite good. I’ll definitely return the next time I visit Cincinnati. This is not only a great cause, but good food too. One thing to keep in mind is that most of the workers are in training, so it would be nice to cut them a break. Also, the building itself must be at least 150 years old because Annie Oakley was there when she was a teenager. Apparently, that’s where she got her start.

Our group is visiting the area for a bachelor party and we actually intended to go other places to eat but the wait was too long. We went in here and had amazing pizza and galic bread. This is also a non profit place which hires people who have difficulty finding jobs. Excellent service and plesant atmosphere. Only thing I would change is implementing music.
