My son lives in Chicago and sent me money thru Zelle today so I could get Christmas dinner. I checked a few places I usually use that are reasonably priced, but they’re closed, so I called here and the lady answered saying that they don’t have any drivers today, because it’s Christmas I guess, but I can come in and pickup the order within the next 30 minutes. I explained that I can’t do that because I’m wheelchair bound and it’s a gift from my son in Chicago for a nice Christmas meal, but I understand. I’ll try again another time. Her son heard our conversation and said he would bring it to me and she asked where I live and what I want to order. That was so nice of her son to volunteer. He was here within 30 minutes with a piping hot generous serving of chicken Parmigiano over a bed of spaghetti, 2 garlic knots and a jumbo cannoli. I ate all that I wanted and there’s enough for tomorrow because it’s more than I can eat for 1 meal. She was so sweet and kind to me and her son also to volunteer to bring it to this over 72 yr old homebound lady who otherwise would have had a sandwich with half of an apple with peanut butter for dinner. Thank you kindly for Christmas spirit.

We did see some interesting looking dishes delivered to neighboring tables, but unfortunately we ordered a pizza. Dough was dense and hard. Topping was supposed to be prosciutto, but it looked more like spec and was like chewing on rubber (see picture). I don’t like giving bad reviews and I will go back and try something other than pizza because the atmosphere and service were good.

Venezia Pizza is such a special place. The food is always delicious!!! Truly every dish tastes fresh and homemade. The owners truly care about what they do, and it shows in the quality of the food and the warmth of the atmosphere. The staff is always kind and welcoming, and it just feels good to eat here. I stopped by recently, and it did not disappoint! The crust was perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside — exactly how I like it. The garlic rolls are a must! Super soft, buttery and so soooo addicting and the Penne Alla Vodka with chicken was so perfectly creamy and full of flavor. You can tell everything’s made fresh and with love.

Visiting the area we weren’t sure after seeing the plaza at first but changed our minds after walking in the door. We were greeted by a wonderful aroma. Picked a table in the back corner by the bar. We were greeted quickly and had drinks within a few minutes. Our server suggested some items from the menu. Started with some warm rolls from the oven, and the food was out quickly. Great place for couples or family.
