Vendetti’s food has always been awesome – my mouth is watering just thinking about their Emilia-romana ravioli. It is exceptional. But I’ve found the service to be sometimes lacking.

The Emilia-romana ravioli is perfection. Cheese filled pillows of pasta swimming in a creamy marinara sauce with chicken and melted mozzarella on top. I want to try other things but I love this one so much I keep going back for it!

The Midlands chicken is perfection for a spring or summer day – grilled chicken with a light and lemony basil butter sauce over chicken, sun dried tomatoes and veggies.

The saltimbocca alla Romana is a heavier dish to warm you in the winter with prosciutto wrapped chicken, spinach and provolone cheese in a Madeira wine demo-glacé sauce.

The pizzas have a thin crust and high quality toppings.

My company has used them for catering three different times and they were terrific – responsive to communication and brought us great food that was well packaged and presented – we had pizzas, pastas, salad and bread. It’s also a good value.

I’ve eaten in-house for a busy lunch and our server was attentive and efficient and our food came out quickly so we were able to get in and out and back to work expediently. And, I’ve grabbed food to go a few times and the portions are always generous and well packaged!

Then I ate there for dinner on a Monday night with my family and the experience was totally different. I’ve been telling my husband he needed to try Vendetti’s for a year so I was really excited to take him. There was just one server and she was completely disinterested in taking care of our party of four and we were the sole table in the house.

She was frequently absent or sitting on her phone for most of the meal. She told us, upon bringing us our cheese bread appetizer, that she had dropped a piece on the floor as she was delivering it to us, so we were short some bread, then she walked away. Honestly, if she hadn’t mentioned it we probably wouldn’t have noticed but if you are bringing it up…maybe do something to amend your mistake? She just seemed completely disinterested. Husband was not very impressed and that stinks because I’d like him to want to take me to Vendetti’s more often, lol!

One other thing to note, Vendetti’s is connected to NOFO Brewery next door. They provide the bar for Vendetti’s. NOFO is closed on Mondays so you can’t get alcohol with your meal on Mondays (or, at least that’s what that server told us?)

What can I say, I brought the family in and we got water and a bunch of different foods.

Italian Sandwich was dry and just nasty.
My pizza was good, but the toppings were raw.
Mozzarella Stix were good.
Garlic cheese bread was good!

Now my water, after 20 minutes she comes back and is refilling water, she refills my water and then walks away. I drink some and it’s NOT water!!! It’s bleach water!!!! Can’t make this up!!!! I tell the waitress and have her try it and she’s like no, and says I’m just going to pour that pitcher out….. I’m at home pulling right now!!!

I can’t suggest this place! Go to city park pizza, definitely don’t go to this nasty place…..

I first noticed this when quaint Italian restaurant when visiting NoFo Brew next door last year. I went for lunch with a friend to see how it was. The interior was vast with pleanty seats for a big crowd. The menu had a lot to offer besides pasta and pizza. They also had sandwiches, salads, parmigianas and marsalas. I ordered a veal parmigiana sandwich while my friend had a chicken alfredo pasta. We also got some garlic rolls on the side. We were in awe at the generous portion sizes of our meals. The veal parmigiana was delicious and savory while my friend also had similar things to say about his pasta. Overall, it was a good experience and I would recommend this place to people who want to eat authentic Italian food at an affordable price. Shout to our sever Hunter who did a fantastic job being our waiter.

The food overall was great. The only thing I experienced on my 1st visit that I didn’t like was, they brought out the salad, then said the food would be right out. So we felt rushed to eat the salad before the pizza came out. Also, the salad was still a little wet. Should have been dry. But other than that, the pizza me and my wife had was really good. My son had a build your own pasta dish that looked amazing. We will be back

I order Eggplant Parmigiana at every Italian restaurant I visit across the country including NYC. This restaurant has the BEST I have ever had! My husband was thrilled with his Chicken Alfredo with a side of meatballs. The Spinach Salad we shared was delicious also. Grace was our server and she was exceptional – knowledgeable, friendly and efficient! We will be frequent customers to try our other menu items.

Love the spinach salad with the warm bacon vinaigrette and can’t get enough of the house tomato soup. We come here at least twice a week, usually Sunday and Wednesday and we have our favorite booth. The girls know our order by heart. Great restaurant and the people here make it better! We usually even bump into some of our church friends every time! I’ll add a picture when we come next time.

The service was fantastic and loved the atmosphere. The brussel sprouts were delicious and the slice of cheese pizza was good, the sicilian slice was ok, felt like the dough was too cakey not like typical sicilian slices. The GF pie was good.

Our new favorite!! Loved the atmosphere, and the food was reasonably priced and delicious. Very cool that they’ve partnered with NoFo Brewing Co. You can order craft beers right there from your table in the restaurant, but they also have a decent wine selection of their own. I chose a glass of the Pinot Grigio and felt it could have been colder, but it was still very tasty.

I recently visited Vendetti’s Pizza in Gainesville, after first trying their Cumming location with family and friends, and I’m excited to say this spot has become one of my top pizza places in North Georgia!

First, let’s talk pizza – it’s surprisingly light, never heavy. The airy, fluffy crust with a crisp edge is just perfect, and the bottom has a satisfying, solid crunch. Each slice offers that balance of flavors and textures that make you savor every bite. I tried the Buffalo Chicken in Cumming and the classic pepperoni in Gainesville, and both were phenomenal – loaded with flavor without any heaviness.

The Gainesville team, led by Ramon, deserves a special shoutout. From the friendly waitress to Ramon himself, who was genuinely happy to see me, the whole team made me feel right at home. They’re good people who care about delivering quality, which adds to the experience.

A great bonus for those visiting the Gainesville location is its partnership with NoFo Brew next door. You can order a pizza, head over to NoFo for a drink, and they’ll find you when your food’s ready, and vice versa. This system works well, especially if you’re like me and sometimes miss hearing name callouts.

If you’re in North Georgia, make sure to stop by Vendetti’s for a memorable pizza experience. I’d love to hear what you think, so give it a try and let’s support these amazing local businesses!

11/10/24 Edit: Added pictures of their Philly cheesesteak pizza, their melt sandwich, and their spinach & artichoke dip. The sandwich is good and their pizza is great but I prefer their pepperoni. The dip is good and very cheesy, needs a bit more salt in my humble opinion.

If you are in Gainesville and looking for authentic Italian food and pizza joint, you have to try Vendetti’s. It’s off the Gainesville Greenway and next door to NOFO brewery. We really enjoyed the food, the vibe, and exceptionally clean facility. The staff is on point and very attentive. We had pizza, wings, and their version of bruschetta- absolutely amazing. Our waitress, Victoria, handled her business with class and professionalism. We also love how you can order a beer from the brewery and they will bring it to you. Now, here is the kicker, they are building a new spot near the Mall of Ga ! We highly recommend this quiet excellence of Italian food. I will also recommend getting there before 6pm because the locals really love the is spot! Well done and a hidden gem minutes from downtown Gainesville.
