This place needs to be in regular rotation. The food is so good it deserves at least a polite knock on Michelin’s door. The digital menu boldly claimed the quesabirria tacos were award winning, so I ordered two… purely for investigative purposes. I also added the birria breakfast burrito because restraint is not my spiritual gift.
The flavors were next level. Deep, rich, perfectly seasoned. Some of the best Mexican food I’ve had in a very long time, possibly ever. The salsa bar is the kind that quietly ruins other salsa for you. Consider yourself warned. And the Mexican soda lineup is strong. Soda Manzana and real Coke showed up like honored guests.
Moses loved this place. He would trade matzo balls for a quesabirria taco without hesitation. If Venalonzo’s had been around in Exodus, there would have been an eleventh plague. Lines.

This is a must stop restaurant if you are into Mexican food. The food is good, and the service is GREAT. I have an allergy to paprika, and they were able to help me with my food selections – THANKS!!! A for sure revisit location… Oh, last point – They do have a good selection of cerveza.

Best birria: tacos and pizza…and eggrolls…and Ramen we’ve ever had. Their guac, chips and salsa are so good my kids ask for them frequently. My son got back from a 2 week vacation and the first thing he wanted was their tacos. My family LOVES it here and we are so grateful they opened a place closer to our home.

We have been to the new location several times and each time is as fantastic as the last. The food is all made to order so it is always hot and fresh but quick! Today we had 3 street tacos and the carnitas chimichanga. The chimichanga was perfectly fried and extremely filling. The tacos are always perfect.

The queso birra plate was DELICIOUS! Returned another day and had the 2 taco plate with carnitas and al pastor. The al pastor was really yummy too. The taco sauce (jalapeño sauce) has really good flavor. Want to try breakfast, especially the chilaquiles.

Welcome to Lone Tree…If you have never had Venalonzo’s before, you’re missing out. This is their 3rd location and we’re excited to have them in the neighborhood.
Great authentic food, filled with lots of flavor!!! Family owned and operated.

Got our order to go. The barbacoa taco was very dry. I’m used to it being made with cheek and this seemed more like chuck. The star for us was the asada meat! Loved it on the torta and the tacos. Refried beans were also a bit dry but the rice was delicious, and together they made the perfect combo. Don’t forget to drizzle the salsa Verde on everything. I’ll definitely be back to try their birria. Our toddler loved his chicken quesadilla and the price for that can’t be beat.

The food is decent. The problem is the food is way overpriced. Up until recently I would get breakfast burritos from this place. They expect you to give them a 20% tip just for handing you the burrito over the counter. I walk out of there spending $13 for a what I would consider a decent breakfast burrito. Way overpriced. But here was the nail in the coffin for me, the salsa bar had little cups with lids you could take with you. I would fill an extra cup to take with me to enjoy with my overpriced burrito. The guy at the register saw this and the very next day, they took away the take home cups with lids and now charge 10 cents for a small cup of salsa to take with you if you want a little extra. They give you one tiny insignificant cup of salsa to go but it’s gone in two bites. This place does not give the customer any good value for their money. Because of how overpriced this place is and their continued pursuit to nickel and dime the customer, I find this place is not worth my business. I only recommend if you want to spend a lot of money at a “run of the mill” taco shop. Tamale Kitchen’s breakfast burritos are orders of magnitude better and cost around $8 and they don’t expect a tip for handing you a burrito over the counter. Very disappointed because the food is not bad but this place is ran like it’s struggling by trying to find ways to get every little red cent out of you instead of building a reputation and a following. Not a fan.

We love the quesabirria like everyone else in Denver-absolutely second to none. I’d love to see them do better with a fresh guacamole offering. The last few times it tasted pretty-made and very sour. The tortilla chips were on the salty side as well. But we will always go back and support this small biz. The quesabirria pizza looked incredible when we saw someone else order it.
