First time trying it today and I got q combo. My husband had chicken tika & brisket with queso. I got birria & brisket with elite. We also got red coconut curry queso. IT WAS REALLY GOOD especially the chicken tikka. I do love the birria! I also got red velvet cake and it was yum. Fantastic service from Mia (her name on the receipt). Place is clean and I can’t wiay to go back!

Love the versatility in options available. Asked for a taste of the curry queso and got a whole little container with chips as well. It was good but also weird to taste that flavor profile in queso. Definitely worth a taste though! The manager served us and brought us some red velvet cake to try. Our tacos were, of course, delicious! This is always a favorite stop!

I have always been a huge fan of Velvet. Typically the Dallas location. Since I was 16.
This was the first place I tried elote!
BUT I have to say.. the alliance location really does give the OG location.. a run for their money.
As a 30 yr old, who still has a long standing love for Velvet Taco, I would say my almost 15 yrs of experience should warrant my review as “solid”, at the very least.
Sorry Dallas, alliance is my favorite now.
The cooks never cut the corn too close to the husk. Never make the elote too dry. Never skimp on taco fillings, & never forget my baby spork for the elote (it’s important. It tastes different without it I swear)
On top of that, the staff is just so incredibly excellent. Mia in particular. Such a sweet person when you call in, and so truly just willing to go the extra mile for no other reason besides, to me at least, it seems like she wants to. Ethics?
That being said, anytime I have been at this location, I haven’t experienced anything poorly or that made me think anything else besides—whoever manages this location, know what they are doing. Your staff members are excellent. Absolutely fantastic job. Again, Mia was such a sweet heart & I really felt valued as a customer with our conversation.
PS. I’m still mad yall got rid of the shrimp and grits taco…

Boss brought some tacos to work and was dying for me to try them, let’s just say I went back to velvet the next day to buy more! Welcoming and greet atmosphere! Definitely try them out! Get the smash burger one you won’t be disappointed. Ask for Mike, he will hook you up with whatever you need to know

My son and I stopped by Velvet Tacos, and it was such a great experience! The food was absolutely delicious and came out quickly. The vibe and atmosphere were amazing—fun, clean, and welcoming. Service was exceptional; everyone was friendly and attentive, which made the meal even better. Definitely a spot we’ll be coming back to!

Love love love me some Velvet Taco. Everything is so good. It’s like a party in my mouth. Has lots of options on the menu. Including vegan. The staff is always happy and quick to serve. Chazzy, one of the managers, is the awesome! A true rock star !

Customer Service is the only thing good about this place. I got tacos that couldn’t even be chewed, I don’t know what was wrong with the tortilla but it could almost not be pulled apart, and the velvet cake, was brown and the frosting was almost completely solid like I got a 3 week old slice of cake, that part infuriated me because the velvet taco I went to in Dallas was NOTHING like this and I had the exact same order, everything was soft, super fresh and flavorful, the velvet cake was extremely spongy and the icing was soft

i love VT!! I have been a few times but the service today was amazing ! i came a little late and the service was still so amazing! Gilbert (i believe was his name)the manager was very helpful and made sure my order/accommodations were perfect. The portions were generous and I definitely will have leftovers for tomorrow. It is a little more on the pricey side, but in my opinion, the quality of the flavorful tacos makes up for it. Overall, I love eating here and will definitely be back!
