I first discovered Veggie Grill over twelve years ago while living in Seattle, and I was thrilled when I realized there was a location closer to me here in Santa Monica. It’s been my go-to plant-based chain ever since, and I’m still blown away by how they continue to create fresh, flavorful, and innovative menu items year after year.

What I love most is the balance they strike — wholesome, feel-good food that’s quick, accessible, and consistently delicious. Whether it’s their classic comfort staples or their newer seasonal creations, I always leave satisfied.

Whenever I’m traveling, I make it a point to find the nearest Veggie Grill for a quick fix. It’s comforting to know there’s always a location ready to deliver that same plant-based goodness I’ve come to count on.

If you’re vegan, vegetarian, or just looking for healthier options without sacrificing taste, Veggie Grill is the spot.

Shared tacos with a friend tonight and they were delicious. Big tacos too. The sundae was so good. Often hard to get a non chocolate Sunday and since I am allergic to cacao this is important. Will be trying more of the new menu

We love VG, it’s our favorite vegan fast food place. Just wish they’d open another one in the Beverly hills or Grove neighborhood. They closed the Grove, we used to go alot more. The food quality, choices and service in our experience are always great!

The pictures on the DoorDash looked really good so I decided to try them. I got a whole wheat bun veggie burger — the bun didn’t taste as fresh as expected, the flavor of the burger was okay. It was not bad but not exactly flavorful either. The sweet potato fries were fine, nothing too special. The portion size was good though. Probably Wouldn’t DoorDash them again as I feel like there are better tasting fast food restaurants out there. But grateful for the experience!

With hundreds of grocery retail and brick and mortar food options being marked to the consumer as “plant powered” or “plant based” when they actually have dairy and other animal products in the food, (notated in tiny print) we have Veggie Grill as operating as a brick and mortar that is 100% plant based. They are the real McCoy, a casual value packed delicious menu that is 100% plant based. Clean, well run, and smart out of the gate to read the marketplace and see their was a demand for a casual quick service animal-free menu. That the future is now and that is not eating animals, not consuming animal products. The socioeconomics, your health, your carbon footprint are dramatically changed for the better when you completely stop eating animals and animal products. I firmly believe we will always have warfare and violence in the world as long as people are killing and eating animals or taking milk from cows meant for their calves. As long as we continue to use animals for testing of any kind. So a BIG THANK YOU Veggie Grill for creating a place where at bare minimum, you are introducing folks to the concept of eating food without animals on the menu. We loved your menu up in Seattle and we love it here down in LA. While we prep and cook most of our own meals, you are a great place to visit from time to time. Highly recommend this Santa Monica location. Amazing staff and a great path for anyone wanting to enjoy a delicious burger, salad or etc…without looking at a plate or box of animal torture. Eat LOVE not FEAR at Veggie Grill and your body will thank you.

Good food just pricey and service is whatever. Had to order my food on the screen even though there was no one in line and the place was practically empty besides one couple.

Then had to go back in to get napkins because they didn’t put any in the bag.

As I was sitting there waiting for my order someone walked in and of course they took his order. I guess they are selective on who they give customer service to? You lost a tip people.

The portions of the onion rings were super tiny for $6+ I think there might have been a total of 6 onion rings in the tiny bag. I paid like $25+ for a burger and onions rings. No drink included.

Might want to give a little more food for the price, especially since a lot of people would rather spend it on food from the grocery store these days. I live in an area where there are no Veggie Grills so I have to drive awhile to get here.

Such a great restaurant for quick, casual, reasonably priced food with a very large variety and options. And Santa Monica location has a great atmosphere too and that you can sit out on the front patio …or not.

We were hungry so it was hard to not order half their menu. We got the truffle Mac n cheese, all hale kale, crispy Baja burrito, Caesar crunch wrap, and the chocolate cake. Everything was tasty. The all hale kale salad really surprised me, the flavors and the vinaigrette were delicious. Good helping of the Mac n cheese. Caesar crunch wrap was also on point. I wished the Baja burrito had more fish in it as the amount of rice was overwhelming the burrito. I would have also liked to have seen a larger piece of the chocolate cake for the cost. But otherwise the cake was delicious, craving some right now as I write this. We will be ordering again!

I always had a good experience at veggie grill.
Ordering online or dining in. Service is always great and food is always delicious.
As an avid vegan who tries different foods constantly, I’d define veggie grill as a sort of “healthy fast food” among the many options available in LA. Prices are decent and I love how all details about meal are included on the menu, including the amount of calorie for each dish.
A must try for vegans and non vegans 🙂

My favorites: lentil soup, Far East Thai bowl – replaced with tempeh, nachos, quesadilla.

Thank you veggie grill!

Basically fast food for vegans. They have all kinds of burgers and mock chicken sandwiches that are super good. Also salads and some other stuff if you want to eat a little bit healthier. We went for some straight up fried goodness and it did not disappoint. The best part is even a fried chick’n sandwich didn’t bog us down as bad as the real thing.
