8-5-2022 Returned for lunch but decided to skip the usual Cuban sandwich to try the chicken parmesan plate. Thought I would compare it to a recent lunch I enjoyed at an Italian place nearby. Ordering an Italian dish in a Cuban venue… risky? Well… it paid off! What a fantastic lunch! The chicken was thick, crispy, and juicy. I am actually torn as to what I will order when I return next time!
Previously… Been a while since I been here, but it’s always good food and friendly service. I love the cuban sandwich, but this time I messed up and ordered the large! I barely finished it and hated myself afterwards… but it was soooo good and soooo worth it. If you haven’t been in a while… make a point to get back here… I definitely waited too long between visits.

My normal Poboy order is usually a roast beef. But when I ordered, I asked what they are know for and the owner (assuming) said to try the Cuban, which I did. Great choice. I lived in Florida for a few years, and it’s hard to beat a really good Cuban sandwich. The atmosphere is very casual and laid back, but also feels like you’re at a family dinner. Everyone is chatting and making conversations with the customer. Very welcoming environment. Hopefully I have them to stop back for lunch on my way back home to Houston later this week.

Fast, friendly service. The Gumbo, Muffuletta’s w/ Onion Rings are to die for.. the Red Beans & Rice with Sausage are like your momma’s and the Cuban Sandwich is like no other…you won’t ever leave here hungry.

Eat here often, casual dining, good local favorite dishes, excellent gumbo, the kind of place you could eat at on a daily basis. The owner and cook IV will fix you anything you want anyway you want it which is something that I value. Has really good red beans, butter beans and black beans on a regular daily basis. Also has excellent fried seafood plates and platters. Pictured is shrimp etouffee.
