I ate two things from this restaurant that informed my review. First, I had a chorizo chimichanga. It was okay, but the chorizo wasn’t all too flavorful. I would give it a 3/5. I also got an order of nachos. These nachos were so the equivalent of cafeteria food for around $15. Processed cheese on bagged ships with a side of dry shredded chicken. As the only place open on a Monday, it was serviceable, but I would not recommend if anything else is open.

This was my second time eating at Vazquez Mexican Takeout and the authentic food was as fabulous as it was the first time. Before enjoying your meal, take a minute to read and appreciate the history of their family operation. The service is fast. I had a burrito and a horchata. The delicious tortilla and pepper sauce were exceptional and the burrito was perfect! Not too wet or too dry. The rice, beans and chicken were tasty. The horchata was refreshing and well balanced. We look forward to visiting again!

Wow! I can not say enough about this wonderful restaurant. The food is SPECTACULAR! Great melody of flavors, fresh ingredients and delicious. The staff is kind, curious, knowledgeable and efficient. To top it off- this is one of the cleanest kitchens I have ever seen. As a veteran- we highly value and appreciate such high standards and as an individual who has worked in the restaurant industry for 15 years throughout the country this is extremely impressive. Great job you guys! I highly recommend this restaurant.

So as long as you know that this is a carry out place with picnic tables outside and limited inside seating, service and atmosphere are great for this place.
The food is excellent. I had a quesadilla supreme with pork. Half is going home for dinner.

After I have had so many lobster rolls I fear I may explode, Vasquez offers a welcomed variety: Mexican, which can be hard to find in this part of the world. Having lived in the Southwest, I can appreciate some good tacos and enchiladas and Vasquez delivered. Both the rice and beans were great and accompanied the enchilada well. The chicken was particular good. What a nice respite from the lobster and seafood in general.
My only suggestion is to have friendlier front line order takers. They were not particularly pleasant and appeared like they did not want to be there. A friendly smile and welcome never hurts.

Delicious and hefty portions. I had the flautas plate (so good with all the toppings) and we also got a burrito which was huge! It wasn’t very busy and our food was ready in like 10-15 minutes!

The food here was excellent. The Pico de gallo was incredible. Having eaten Mexican food all over the southwest, that’s saying something.

Love the bright welcoming exterior! Made it easy to find.
We ordered a Mexican plate, 2 tacos, nacos supreme, and a pork flat bread that I don’t remember the exact name. Very generous portions!
Everything was solidly good. 2 types of salsa- green or red. Red was extra spicy. The thing we liked the least was the rice.
You order at the counter inside and they call your number when your food is ready. Can eat inside or at a table outside. We chose a table outside.
The portapotties at the edge of the parking lot are a little off putting, but they don’t have a restroom inside so…..not much can be changed about that.
$45 for all that food – it was honestly enough for 8 people.
Their story is interesting, too, as they started as a taco truck for seasonal workers and have grown to have a building. Good for them!

So here I am traveling through small town Maine and the last thing I thought I would find is attitude. But the woman at the window had a total attitude and I was thinking “gurl don’t give me no attitude!!” especially from Milbridge Maine. Despite the tude, the food was good and tasted like what you would find in a LA taco shop. Some more seasoning (spice) would heat things up. But hey, in the middle of no where, I was glad to find some tacos.
