My husband and I come eat here from Lafayette! We order the fish plate. This is like the second or third time we are waiting for our food. And it’s been sitting under the heat lamp. They never even told us our food is ready. And we are sitting in the seats where you eat. Finally after a while. We go ask. And they said oh. It’s been sitting here.

Frequent this place quite a bit because it’s just down the road. Catfish they had on display looked appetizing, so I got 4 pieces even though they looked like they had been cooked in old oil. Got home and tried a piece and it was so salty I had to spit it out. Army Ranger here, and I can usually handle some pretty terrible food given the years of service and being bounced around multiple continents and culturally based cuisines. Instant heartburn/stroke from how much salt was in it. Even my son, who likes salty food, spit it out after trying a small piece. Disappointing.
Service can be sketchy at times, especially in the rush hours. Not enough employees on staff for the work expectations. Have had to wait several times for periods of 5-10 minutes when there is no one in line simply to make a single item purchase which doesn’t require ID checks or anything complicated.

I went for lunch recently. I got 2 plates of the turkey wing dinners. I have gotten lunch before and it has been good. The cook is awesome. I think whomever is plating made some mistakes here. This time not so good. What should have been turkey wings was fat and bones. Before leaving with the plates I showed the cashier. She said there was meat. Nope. Just fat and bones. $10.00 for a plate of rice, fat and bones. This may be my last visit. They were not concerned that they had a customer complaint and I am not one who complains often about anything. I don’t appreciate spending money for fat and bones!
