Authentic Cajun food, I could smell the seasonings when I entered the restaurant so I knew I was at the right place. I had stuffed crab with red beans and a house salad added onions. My server Nick was attentive and friendly. The star of the restaurant was the beautiful display of cakes, I had to get a piece. Definitely worth a cheat day, left #satisfiedandstuffed .

Okay I have eaten at most of the places rated above them. Wrong if you want made from scratch real deal Brown the flour Gumbo with desserts that are like granny used to make when you were a kid. Look no further. A lot of the time I get dessert cake or pies to go. Like the rest of your dinner they don’t skimp when cutting your slice. Chicken fried chicken is a great go to but the shrimp is outstanding. The salad doesn’t come out of a bag it’s fresh fresh. Ask for extra ranch and instead of getting a little container and an up charge you get a squirt bottle full. I can’t say anything negative always good and made to order. You should stop by the deserts on the counter on the way in. Onion rings are completely to die for.. One of my go to places when you get sick of processed food. Dinner is large enough to split but left overs are always good. Check them out. Down 105.

We drove over an hour to get to Vautrot’s because of the great reviews it received. Upon being seated the first thing I noticed was how breezy it was with so many fans spinning at high speed. It was a little distracting. I went back out to our car to retrieve my jacket. The waitress was very friendly and helpful in navigating the menu since it was our first visit there. I started with a cup of shrimp gumbo . The flavor was delicious . The roux was dark just like I like it . The shrimp held their shape but we’re very much overcooked for my liking. I had the shrimp po boy with fried shrimp and okra as my side. With the first bite I noted that the bread was real French bread. It had a nice crust but was tender and moist on the inside. The shrimp were fried perfectly. The vegetables were refresh and delicious. The fried okra was yummy My husband ordered the crawfish etouffee. When they sat it down we both were wowed with how beautiful it was but the first bite put us off. It clearly contained Campbell’s Golden Cream of Mushroom soup. That soup has an unmistakable flavor. It was very disappointing. We intend to try it one more time but will not order the etouffee.

We have eaten here several times and brought folks from England and Australia. Unfortunately last night we left very disappointed with the quality of the food. The hamburger was completely cold and didn’t seem fresh. The bun was completely soggy on the bottom as if it had been sitting in the kitchen. My coffee was almost cold. A couple of our guests also indicated their food wasn’t hot. This was indeed extremely disappointing and I feel sure you would want to know this and correct this for future customers. I did request my hamburger to be warmed in the microwave, which was done.

Cajun home style done right. The atmosphere is cozy and everyone was super friendly and welcoming. The crawfish etouffee regular serving was very generous and tasted great at a reasonable price.

The food was great, and the service was even better our waitress Annette was amazing. I loved the restaurant’s style and placement of all the desserts on the countertop and the tall ceiling when you walk in. I have to say i was impressed. Definitely coming back with the family next time.

This restaurant is a hidden gem! I’m so happy we got to try it out with my parents! Welcoming staff as well as clean and the sense of home. The chicken fried steak was delicious! I thoroughly enjoyed my meal! For dessert I had the butter pecan cake, it was amazing! Others at our table loved their meals to, which includes the mixed gumbo, beef tips, and chicken strips! We cannot wait to go back, totally worth the short drive!
