Our server Rosa was super knowledgeable and extremely helpful! Chef Felice prepared for us some specials for the evening, the beef carpaccio, the salmon ravioli and the whole seabass which tasted great! The atmosphere was so romantic! We will definitely come back to try their dessert and coffee!

Absolutely love this place! I hidden gem of Niagara. I went there for a first communion we had a large selection of antipasto which was to die for. Followed by pasta and a main. I’m definitely going to return I’m in love with the sauce and I want it on a pizza!
That was amazing including the owner who came out in our request to chat and thank him for their wonderful food. Will definitely return for the patio!

The BEST Italian I’ve ever had. I’m not kidding. We had an amazing meal and Rosa our server was fantastic! And the prettiest view in all of Niagara. A true gem!

This was actually our worst ever resturant experience. We have been told by people that Vaticano was a great restaurant! We had been given a $200 giftcard! We had a date night and arrived there around 610. We got a table outside (one other table was occupied outside there and a party up top and nobody else at any other table)
We waited a while and were given water. Waited another 5-10 minutes and asked for some bread and that we wanted to order. She said “we have a party of 25 inside so I want to get your order in first” We thanked her and sat waiting for our bread for over 30 minutes. It never came. At this time she didn’t come out once to fill up waters or anything. Food came out, my pasta was cold and the portion was the smallest I’ve ever seen. We mentioned the bread and she said sorry and came out with two dry pieces of bread.l after our meal was done (in her defense it was so small we ate it in under 5 minutes) she came out I asked to pay and said wifi was bad then asked me how much was on my giftcard. I told her $200. She had me sit inside and said she would be a minute. 7-8 minutes later the other waitress noticed we were still there and asked if she could help us? She gave us two little cookies as she noticed we were there a long time. Then the owner and waitress come out with the bill $73.42 with 2 $50 giftcards and telling us we have to tip on top. I explained you need to give me a giftcard for the balance which was $126.58. They kept trying to reason with us about why they did it that way?!?? They were assuming I was going to tip 35%! Finally i said this experience has been awful please return the balance and I will not be tipping. (I have never in my life not tipped even with the worse service so this goes to show you how bad this really was). The owner kept trying to show me his machine and that he didn’t know how much my giftcard was for and that he just trusted me. He kept deflecting and never apologized and I pulled $200 receipt out and showed him. They both went silent and he kept trying to shake my hand as if that would smooth the whole night over. Pathetic service, tiny portion and excuse after excuse from them instead of owning up to it and making things right. I don’t even want to give away the 2 $50 giftcards I have left.
That’s if they even have $50 on them. Truthfully I would be surprised if there was anything on them as we never got receipts and neither the owner or waitress knew how to create a giftcard.
Ps I have to say the hostess was SO nice! So was the waitress with the dirty blonde hair that came over to give us cookies while we waited forever but I could tell this wasn’t the first time this had happened.

My mom wanted to take me out for a cappuccino for my birthday so I suggested the Vaticano because my husband I can’t stop raving about how great their food and drinks are !! Rosa served us again and she was pleasant as always and made us the most delicious cappuccino with cinnamon. Chef Felice sent us a plate of home made biscotti on the house that went perfect with our drinks while we waited for our pizza which if you haven’t tried you gotta go !! I never had fig on pizza before and it was so tasty…the whole experience was great…they never disappoint.

We dined at Vaticano restaurant on Valentine’s day (yesterday) with the reservation made in the morning. The food was amazing. Our server Francesca is a treasure! We noticed her managing most of the tables and staff advised shortage of help due to sick calls. Francesca held her own ( scurrying about 😉 and well organized ) with superior service, smiles and humorous conversations. This is our second visit to the restaurant and Francesca was so knowledgeable and guided us through the menu. She is definitely a valued member of the team. Thanks Francesca!!!!!!

While enjoying a great view on the Niagara River, Rosa and Francesca were fantastic up front with service, and Chef Felice served up perfection from the Kitchen. Highly recommend if you are in Niagara, Fort Erie or on the US side of border. You won’t be disappointed.

We enjoyed our experience at Vaticano Italian Restaurant in Fort Erie on our first visit yesterday. The atmosphere was delightful – very relaxing, much like it would feel at our family’s home. The decor was elegant yet comfortable. We ordered the seasonal ravioli, a salad, meatballs, and the house made bread. The food was of exceptional quality and exactly as advertised. Our server, Rosa, was very attentive and extremely helpful. We were so well fed that we will be back for dessert and coffee soon! We couldn’t possibly fit it all in!

Truly disappointed. We ordered a pizza that was overcooked. The kitchen was missing a key ingredient and they failed to communicate it to us till the pizza was served. When I asked, they told us they had run out. Would have appreciated a heads up.
The restaurant was empty and dark. I did enjoy looking at the artifacts and photos.
Food prices are high.
All in all, it was an underwhelming experience.
