The food is really delicious! But delivery not recommended!
I was craving authentic white dhokla and this was exactly what I needed! However there was no chutney or any accompanied with it. It wasnt well seasoned.
The student thali was missing rotis which was very upsetting considering that a main component as the rice was very less quantity. Thankfully I ordered thepla separately. After calling them there was no apology no compensation. They missed out stuff causally and on delivery there is usually nothing you can do about it.

Vatan Chaats in New Jersey is a great spot for authentic Indian street food with bold and tangy flavors. The pani puri bhel puri and ragda pattice are popular for a reason and taste fresh and satisfying. Cakes are eggless here, which is amazing!! The place has a casual busy vibe and is perfect for a quick snack or sharing plates with friends. If you love classic Indian chaats this spot is definitely worth a visit.

Vatan is a great spot in Indian Square if you want to sample a wide variety of classic Indian chaats in one place. I tried their 7-flavour pani puri, and it was genuinely fun and delicious.
You can choose between ragda or aloo for the filling. The highlight is the seven different pani flavours, each distinct and well balanced: ginger garlic, jaljeera, pudina, khatta meetha, hing, and kaccha aam. Every pani had its own personality, from refreshing and tangy to deep and spicy, without any one overpowering the others.
Everything tasted fresh, the puris were crisp, and the progression of flavours kept it interesting till the last bite. If you enjoy chaat and like experimenting beyond the usual pani puri, this is a must try. One thing which can be a feedback is avoiding adding ice to make it cold, as they disturb the experience they can be made with regular water instead.

Food is decent. I always order online since I’m in school generally. It’s always been a disappointment. I order the same item in extra quantities and they give only one when I pay for like four or five. On top of that I get a main course like dal and they never provide rice. This has happened over five times from these people. On top of that I ask them to include utensils and they don’t provide that either. It’s quite frustrating, when I wait almost 2 hours for the food to come and it’s still not right. They need to really work on this.

I resonate with all the negative sentiments on the existing reviews. Food is good, but this is not the only place for that good food. I’ll never go there again just because not a single member of staff in there takes responsibility of bad behavior of their peers. The pani puri wali aunties (they keep changing) are specially unhinged and hostile upto an extent that we paid for our pani puris but had to stop eating half way and leave. I miss India, but not this part, so I’ll pass, lol.

To begin with it’s a busy place all the time, I have tried Pani Puri here many times but the hard part is the line for it, you might lose the patience waiting for it. Manchurian’s are okay I would say and are more towards the tangy taste. Seating can be difficult to find since they have very limited space. Parking can also be extremely difficult.

Awful service! We went to get pani puri and the woman serving was chit chatting the whole time with the other woman working there. She was rude to us the whole time, and got mad at us for not speaking “Hindi”. We could not continue after that experience and had to leave. Ruined our night and did not apologize or offer a refund. 0/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Pathetic service. Ordered takeout and clearly asked for gravy, but was given a dry dish instead. When I reached out to the restaurant to inform them of the mistake, they simply said nothing can be done. No apology, no solution, no accountability. Extremely shallow and careless service. Definitely not ordering again.

The Guy on the counter was very cocky and arrogant. We entered and went to the cashier, there were no customers at all, but still he was in his own world and did not even bother to look at us. A few mins passed and he went inside, waited a little more and asked for some one to come, again no respose, I could see him inside and it wasn’t that he couldn’t hear me. He came out, again in his own world for a few mins, I asked if he could take my order. He did bother to even look at me and told me to wait for sometime. I lost a bit and asked if he was too busy to take the order then we’ll leave. He shamelessly and arrogantly replied – “Yes, we’re very busy”. This was not the only experience with their arrogance. They think that they can behave with customers however they want and we’ll will still come and eat. They need to learn from Honest which much more busy but still has very good service. Someone needs to bring them down from their high horses and will. I’ll never go back.
