Absolutely incredible experience at Varsity Tavern in Tempe!
I stopped in for a drink and was lucky enough to be served by Taylor, who was nothing short of amazing. She was friendly, attentive, and incredibly professional. My drinks were perfect every time, and she made the whole atmosphere feel welcoming and fun.
Taylor went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of, checking in at the right moments, offering great recommendations, and keeping the energy high behind the bar. It’s rare to find a bartender who combines great service with such a genuine, positive attitude.

I mean the drinks came out quick, but not the food. It took well over 30 min from the time we ordered food until it showed up. we ordered 1 taco and a burger. They were not very busy, and when asked about the wait, they just said when the food comes up, it will be ready. They did not go ask or anything. If you just want to watch the game and have a drink, then it ok, but if you want food, eat somewhere else.

Waiting for way too long to be served the food we ordered….going on an hour. Waitress has no update for us. Nor has she come by our table to check on us. (I walked to the hostess podium where our waitress was talking to two other employees to ask about food. She didn’t even offer to look into for us.) Will not be returning.

Varsity is always one of my favorite stops when I’m visiting Arizona. It’s definitely one of the hottest spots in downtown Tempe by ASU. Amazing music and a sick sound and lighting set up gives this place, a big city nightclub vibe. If you stop in, make sure to see Taylor, she’s the best bartender ever!

Great Bar & Club for 20’s adults. It’s a younger crowd, so if your a bit older(nothing wrong with that just being honest). Scottsdale or somewhere else maybe better. Otherwise, in the fall it’s a fun place to party with a good crowd, drinks are a good price too.
