This is a place that serves old people food. It cost me $17 for a tea, two ‘chicken tenders’, a cornbread muffin, fries and potato wedges. The buffalo chicken tenders was listed at $12.50 on the menu. There were two tenders, each a nice size. They were tender and moist and filling. The buffalo sauce tasted more like Frank’s red hot sauce than a buffalo sauce. The fries, wedges and muffin were so bland; I don’t even think the fries had any salt on them. They were incredibly fresh and steaming when we got to the car but they were certainly not seasoned at all. Even the cornbread muffin had no flavor but dry, if dry was a flavor. The sweet tea was fine. It wasn’t super sweet but it wasn’t weak either, and they gave us a decent sized cup. Between the husband and myself the tea was the best thing we got.

Very little of what we saw on the menu was less than $10. We ordered one buffalo chicken tender plate and a sweet tea to-go.

The waitress seemed unhappy or bored. Maybe she just has RBF and I misunderstood the situation. She wasn’t rude just kinda had a vibe that said she didn’t like how we looked. The husband and I have tried coming in multiple times, but always seem to stop by when the place is closed. When we got there it was empty.

We did not have to wait a really long time for the food. It all looked and tasted fresh. The decor and general vibe of the place is Grandma and Grandpa eat here cause the food is easy on the dentures and their bellies.

Pork chop, mashed potatoes and green beans were great. Peach cobbler was awful. Had a very strange taste. Will certainly go again and not get dessert.

Food wasn’t bad. We got breakfast. I asked for my bacon crispy but it came out floppy. The gravy was good but I’m pretty sure was over a canned biscuit. Pancake was decent. They apparently don’t have any butter in the restaurant just little packets of margarine. It’s the service that was spectacularly terrible. The server (which I gathered might be the owner) was annoyed we were there. She never smiled once. Never greeted us. Just stared at us in a creepy kind of way. She sat at a table talking with her friends talking. My husband ran out of coffee. I tried to get her attention. She looked right at me as I’m holding his coffee cup and pointing at it but then went back to her conversation. Then when we went to pay she could tell I was upset and said “Did you want something”. I said “yeah he wanted coffee a while ago” but she didn’t respond at all. Just gave us the total. I seriously think this has to be a front for something. There’s no way she’s still in business. Unless she just handpicks her friends to be nice to. We had such high hopes. But she went out of her way to act annoyed. It’s really a cute little place. The cook came out and was super sweet. Maybe someone else will take over and we can have a nice little breakfast spot. But she definitely acts like she hates the restaurant business. Guess we’ll travel to Cleveland when we want a good breakfast.

Food and service was great. But their disability ramp needs worked. Fell out in front of the restaurant. Went back in to tell owner and she seemed to not care. She was sitting on her phone and said “well I didn’t see anything nor did the customer”. Customers were not paying attention and going about their meal, owner of the restaurant was on her cell phone with TV going on inside. But didn’t seem to believe me when I confronted about the situation. Scraped arm bad and hurt ribs from landing on the railing.

Be careful on the handicap ramp carpet. It is not nailed down in place. Spoke with someone else that said their elderly parent also fell out on that same ramp.

Had high hopes for this spot, cute little place. Enjoyed the decor. That was about it.

Food was plentiful but… Don’t know about the rest of the menu but the turkey and ham sandwich was ok at best. The veggies were fresh and bread/cheese good, but the meat was very generic. The fries looked and tasted like they were straight out of a store brand frozen bag. Definitely expected better from southern home cooking. Especially for $16 with a flat Dr Pepper.

It was good food, hot and fresh to the table.
The portions are generous so you won’t leave hungry.

This little gem has some great “Southern home cookin” on offer. Their menu does change regularly, so don’t expect the same dishes all the time. But they have all you can eat catfish on Fridays that is a great value! I think the cornbread and sides are the real stars of the show here. I’ll definitely be back!

Won’t be back here. We went through drive thru and ordered three cheeseburger plates and fries and one chicken tender plate with fries and it was $60. The food was not good at all. The fries were all dropping with grease. When I looked at the receipt the lady/owner handed me, we were charged over $7 in tax and I asked about it and was basically told sorry for your luck. Never again will we go to this mediocre place with overpriced food. Pay attention to your receipts folks you’re being overcharged

No prices were posted anywhere so you just had to roll the dice and hope for the best. Just had the all you can eat catfish with three sides. Worst catfish I ever had in my life. Running it over a candle would have cooked it more than what my friend and I got. The fried tomatoes were barely “fried” as well and were as hard as a rock. The waitresses visits were few and far between and the ketchup comes in a thimble sized cup which is a crime with bad fish. Good fried potatoes and pinto beans do not make up for raw fish and poor service. Will never ever come here again!
