Stopped for a quick bit to finish the drive home to corpus. Was in and out under 30 minutes. Quick friendly service. Appetizer menu was mouth watering just reading. You could even do half and and half on a full order of appetizers for a $1 more! . The menu had a good range of different foods. Good spot If you looking for a drink & apps or quick lunch.

Van’s Burgers was great, went on a Sunday and we had a Chicken Sandwich, Huddle Burger and Chillicheese Fries on the side. Service was really great and I’m glad that it wasn’t too crowded. If only I would’ve added cheese to the burger, but that was my fault for not paying attention… Thanks ya’ll definitely coming back.

If you’re looking for something fried this is the place to go.. it definitely deserves a five-star for fried food including their mushrooms and their onion rings… The taco salad left something to desire and my burger was a little overcooked but still good.

I was brought here by friends who have been long time customers. They shared their childhood memories while we enjoyed amazing comfort food. The second visit was amazingly better. I had the fish. Very generous portions. We were served by Leah this time. Kind and attentive lady.

Van’s is our regular lunch spot after Church. We’ve never had a bad experience. The food is good, prices are reasonable, and the staff are exceptional! Highly recommend!!!

The food here is Excellent! Fresh and hot with great flavor. The portion sizes are very large and the prices are reasonable. The servers are attentive and the Sports themed with TVs on the walls create a Nice atmosphere. Try the Pirate Ship Drink in the bar. We Highly recommend. It’s definitely worth the stop!

I’d never heard of this place, but the outside looks can be deceiving. Sports bar ambiance, but family friendly, roomy, and fast service. Waitress was taking our order within 5 minutes of arrival, drinks and appetizers arrived quickly thereafter. I’d recommend the shrimp tacos. Good portion size, but I wanted, and could have eaten, more. Shrimp salad was huge. Touchdown burger and Pirate burgers were good; toasted buns added to the genuine greasy burger taste and feel. Fries were crispy and hot. Friendly service, plenty of parking, pretty easy to find even with several wrong turns. Hidden gem in Mathis! Give it a try!
