We enjoyed a lovely dinner last night at Vangelli’s . We’ve been several times and every time we come it exceeds our expectations. We ordered the scallop appetizer, which was wonderful, split the tomato and burrata which is fantastic and we ordered the special Wagyu beef and split it and it was plenty. In addition we had the amazing banana peanut butter dessert, and a bottle of wine. We always split our meals and they charge a $10 split fee, Joe was our server and it’s always nice to have him take care of us and we were able to enjoy the fabulous music which was a surprise to us. I am Big on clean bathrooms and the bathroom was very clean. We made a reservation and were seated right away. Splitting ether steak was plenty.

We’re visiting from Georgia for the weekend and decided to stop by even though we didn’t have a reservation. They were able to accommodate us and find us a table without any waiting time, the atmosphere and food were amazing, literally we’re thinking on just driving from Georgia to eat here. Our server was Evan, he was great, everything he recommended was delicious and he made us feel like family. We can’t recommend this place enough, I keep telling my husband even the water was delicious hahaha.

Tried Vangeli’s while visiting Lake Keowee and it did not disappoint! Our table got several appetizers that were incredible, including the steak frites and tuna tartare. One of the favorites for the night was the elk special they had. Highly recommend this spot if you are near Seneca.

5 Stars – Vangeli’s Bistro is Our Go-To Spot!
Katelyn and I can’t get enough of Vangeli’s Bistro in Seneca! Evan and Melissa run an amazing place with killer food and top-notch service every single time.
The pork chop? Incredible. The scallops? Perfection. And now they’re serving fresh lobster from Live Maine Lobster (shout out to Michael Crowley’s Seneca/Maine company)—it’s a game changer!
We love this place so much we buy gift certificates for our clients. If you’re in Seneca and want fantastic food in a great atmosphere, Vangeli’s Bistro is where it’s at. You won’t be disappointed!

Simply phenomenal first time experience at Vangeli’s. I made a last minute reservation & the hostess was beyond accommodating. Her clear communication to let us know a party was coming in behind us helped to keep track on being out in a timely manner.

Evan was our waiter & he was absolutely wonderful. He treated our 5 year old with so much kindness & she felt very included in our Christmas dinner.

The food…stunning & delicious. So much so, I just had to be that person taking photos at the dinner table.

You can’t beat the atmosphere, quality of food, cleanliness of restaurant/bathrooms & superb service from front of house staff–>bar staff–>kitchen staff! We cannot wait to enjoy another evening here again soon!!

My husband and I were able to sneak in at the bar on Valentines Day without a reservation and it was magical. Everything was perfect! Service was friendly and attentive. Cocktails were thirst quenching. Scallops were phenomenal. The filet and lobster were divine. Triple layer mouse cake was the perfect end note. I left tipsy, satisfied, and a bit spoiled. Thank you!

We have passed by Vangeli’s a lot while in town but finally decided to try it out. We made reservations the day of and got in at 5pm which suited us just fine since we like to be in our pjs by like 7pm. We were seated immediately and had a great service throughout the night. We ordered the stuffed zucchini blossoms, and a burrata and tomato salad which probably wasn’t the smartest thing to do since the zucchini blossoms came on top of burrata and tomatoes. The zucchini blossom appetizer was lovely as was the salad – just too much like each other. The fish entree which I believe was a snapper – and over risotto – was delicious. We had it split to two plates for a small fee. The presentation was lovely. Oh, and our gin martinis were spot on as was the wine list. Thank you for having a French Cote du Rhone by the glass! We will most certainly be back.

I’m stuffed! The food was incredible, we celebrated 0ur 25th anniversary at Vangeli’s and we will definitely return. I had the sea bass and blueberry balsamic salad. It was perfect. Below are some snap shots of the other awesome meals we shared with friends.

I’m not one to leave reviews on restaurants, but I must for this one. My wife and I tried this place for the first time and it was probably the most bland food I’ve ever tasted. We both got steak with sides and it was worse than getting a steak at your local long horn. Then we retrieved the bill and it was $268.00. Yes! Me and my wife… we had some wine and other things along with our dinner but the food was basic and not worth the money. Super nice place, along with great service, but way too expensive for something you could buy half the price at your local steak house. I would recommend saving your money and time.
