I cannot say enough great things about Vang Go. I was floored at how amazing the food was tonight. We were looking at the menu and trying to pick from all the varied dishes and appetizers when we noticed at the bottom there was something called ” the experiment “. It’s basically a two-person omakase. Most of what we were served wasn’t even on the menu. It was stunningly good. There was so much food and everything was well balanced and not too spicy but spicy enough and absolutely delicious. Check out the pictures, it’s as good as it looks. We’re definitely going back. TBH we talked about going tomorrow night it was do good. Fantastic food, great cocktails, nice staff; it’s damn near perfect.

A quick drive to Ghent brought us the delicacies of the quaint, eclectic restaurant of Vang Go. Our waiter Tim, was our trusted guide through a menu filled with delicious options. Amongst the delicious treats that were uncovered were the peanut noodles, crunchy Vang roll and tacos, then finished with churros.

Food visually looks really good, but has no taste. The chili oil is not fragrant nor is it spicy. The kimchi was not fermented for long and didn’t have any kick to it. It was almost like eating raw cabbage. Everything just tasted very watered down and lacked any real Asian flavoring or salt and pepper for the matter of fact. I only liked my mocktail and the meat toppings. Those actually tasted like something. Pretty disappointed. This is an establishment that caters to non Asian people’s taste buds. All the other customers looked like they had never tried Asian food before so that should have been a sign this was not the place for good Asian fusion.

Amazing food, perfect service and nice atmosphere. Vang Go Bistro has a vibe. I’ve had the kimchi fried rice with chicken several times, and the portions are so large I always end up bringing some home. If you’ve never had a Vang roll, stop what you’re doing and get in your car and go get some. Once you’ve tasted them you’ll crave them! Amazing blends of flavors and they have something for everyone. Love this place!!

My partner and I are practically addicted to this place. Whenever it is date night this is our spot!! We have gotten the “experiment” several times and we have never gotten the same thing twice. They are constantly changing the menu and even their classic items get their own twists time to time. I cannot recommend this place enough!

Today we dined in and tried the following: Crispy Kimchi Dumplings, Chicken Red Curry Noodles, Chili & Garlic Noodles, Chili Truffle Fries, and Shrimp Tempura Po’ Boy.
The Service provided was phenomenal from the moment we walked in. The music was great and the temperature was perfect.
Crispy Kimchi Dumplings – 8/10 the Kimchi was sweet which caught me by surprise, it was still very good, excellently fermented. The dumplings were also amazing, perfectly crunchy and the sweet Chili sauce was great too.
Chicken Red Curry Noodles – 2/10 The noodles were very dry and had little to no salt in the meal, the chicken was well cooked though.
Chili & Garlic Noodles – 2/10 The noodles were dry for this dish, very underseasoned, needed a heavy hand with the salt
Chili Truffle Fries – 5/10 The fries were crunchy and the sauce on top was so delicious, however the Aioli sauce they had on it was really sparse, so after the top layer we had to get it as a side. The fries were over seasoned, slightly salty.
Shrimp Tempura Po’ Boy – 3/10 The shrimp was flavorless in my opinion (although had a great texture), I could only taste the breading, they also… charbroiled it I think? Because the shrimp were slightly burned and it was extremely overpowering. The sauce on it was super salty and we had to use the aioli from the fries to tone it down.
Overall this place is good option to try if you’re not super picky, the staff were amazing. If you’re more focused on a great food experience, I wouldn’t recommend.

Great vibes and delicious food! Went here on a date night with my boyfriend before the Laufey concert.
We ordered the eggrolls, chicken sandwich, and kimchi fried rice. All three were so flavorful! Eggrolls had rice noodles in the filling (along with meat). The chicken sandwich was nice and crunchy, not dry. And the kimchi fried rice was our fave.
One suggestion we have though is to use less oil – the dishes were quite oily and I don’t think they need so much. Or maybe dab or drain better. It did feel sort of heavy after finishing the food. But that doesn’t detract so much from the overall taste.
Amazing service and loved the waiter! He complimented our fits 🙂

I adore this place! It’s so cozy on the inside, perfect for a solo date or a bite to eat with friends. I’ve been twice so far & the food has been out of this world every single time! The Chicken Red Curry Noodles are freaking amazing. So flavorful!!! I’m on a mission to try everything they have on the menu. Shout out to the amazing bartender with the dreadlocks & awesome chef in the back. Didn’t catch their names but I am so thankful for their service. Please check this place out! You absolutely will not regret the food or experience. Cheers!!!
