The REAL spring rolls have carrots, cucumber, cilantro, mint.. mine just had some half lettuce leaf, and a half split mini shrimp. Stuffed with vermicelli. the peanut sauce is good.
My other order was the Vietnamese Philly Steak sandwich.
The bread was totally microwave overcooked!
Disgusting food, and I will, or can’t recommend this restaurant.
This is the first time I have ever reviewed a restaurant.

Picked up sandwiches for home. Met the Owner, very nice and personable while waiting for my order. I learned that he makes his own Bahn mi baguettes every morning at 4am. They are super crispy and light. We frequent this place every 2 weeks. Also had the fresh spring rolls…delicious. Eat and support local!

This is the second location for Van Vietnamese. It is simple restaurant with several tables in the older area of Pahoa. Parking is right in front. The service was fast and the staff friendly. The selection was good. We enjoyed the spring rolls and the peanut sauce was excellent. The Vietnamese coffee was very good. We all order Pho. The noodles and meat was very good. They are generous with basil and sprouts. The beef broth is made fresh on site, it was good but would have like a richer beef flavor. Nice addition to Pahoa.

The Bánh Mi sandwich bread is made fresh from scratch everyday!! Can’t beat it; it’s fantastic!
Such wonderful food, and great service! Definitely will continue to eat here regularly and would suggest anyone stopping in. Pho soup broth is vegetarian!!! Yummy and totally the best!

First time here, so cozy and spacious.
We ordered pho, and it sure did not disappoint. Will definitely come back again multiple times.
Note to those who like to add the chilly pepper oil spice, it’s very spicy so best to add a little at first.

Very nice Vietnamese Restaurant. Clean just opened with new tables and chairs. Pho was fresh with good broth. Noodles were good. Not much they can do about the old boulding but it is Pahoa and that what you get in the old part of town. Thisthe 3rd Vietnamese Restaurant in the same space maybe 3rd time is a charm.
