Overlooking the first tee of the Lakeside Country club, our restaurant patio and terrace gives you the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful golf course while having Lunch, Dinner or just a drink after your round of golf. Have a before dinner drink in the lounge corner of the patio. The interior of the restaurant area is warm and beautifully decorated to comfort your guests.

Went to dinner there Saturday night. We really enjoyed the experience even though the staff were a little overwhelmed.

For appetizers we had the Tuna tartare and the Italian bread. Both were very good

For our main meals we had

– Chicken Monet – loved it
– Duck graus – good
– salmon – very good
– calf livers – very good

We will definitely be back

Our son’s wedding reception was held here last week; and what a lovely experience it was. From the moment we spoke with Ingrid and the chef to the day we went in and set up for the reception, everyone was so accommodating and personable. Manager and staff had tables set as promised and service was spot on. It was their helpful, sweet demeanor that made for such a wonderful evening. The guests kept commenting on how delicious the food and appetizers were. Our family and friends would definitely recommend your restaurant for gatherings, receptions, parties or dinner. Van Der Valk was a little out of the way, but it was so worth the trip! My friend and I had never been before we went to celebrate her birthday. The hostess welcomed us and quickly learned it was our first time visiting. We decided to sit on the patio next to one of their fire pits.
It was difficult to choose what to eat – everything on the menu looked delicious! Our waitress suggested chicken cavatappi and we were not disappointed. We were so impressed by the level of service we received – the hostess came to check on us during our meal.
Overall our experience was a great one! The atmosphere was lovely, the food was delicious, and the service was excellent! I definitely recommend Van Der Valk to anyone who may be looking for a new place to dine in Citrus County, especially if you’re looking for something on the higher end of Citrus County dining.

Walked in with reservations. Hostess pointed to our choice of tables and walked off. So we sat. Wrong one, that’s reserved. Drink order, had to ask for a drink menu. She brought one for 6 people and walked off. Also one dessert menu to pass around. She had an attitude which mysteriously improved at the end. Food was excellent. Salmon perfectly done but on a meager bed of lettuce for an entree. Old fashioned was not good. I asked recipe on way out. They use club soda, no wonder it tasted watered down. Everyone’s food and desserts were excellent.

First time eating here. The service was excellent. The presentation of food was nice. Only had lobster soup, wine and some appetizers. The appetizers were chef pick and it wasn’t impressive. Would definitely go back for a different meal option.

Ok, golf course food, well actual thinking of it from that perspective then it was good golf course food. Most of give a two at best so. I had some stomach issues after and I didn’t order anything heavy, so, staff friendly but mostly empty at the time we were there.
