Customer service was great, atmosphere was beautiful and clean. However, the Ribs taste like leftovers and were kind of burned and just tasted old. The Singapore noodles were OK. This is the Third time I’ve had Singapore noodles, all different restaurants, and they were all delicious. These noodles are pretty mediocre at best.

Came in to what I think may have been their dinner rush. They were still pretty quick to get our food out. My favorite dish was the shrimp fried rice. It was hot and tasted fresh and had some great umami flavors. The hot n sour soup was a little on the thicker side and was a little cold when it came out. It was very hot nor sour. The orange chicken was good in the sauce however some of the chicken was a little on the drier side. The charbroiled chicken was also a little dry. Overall I enjoyed the foods flavor. Would like to try it out when they are less busy.

I don’t know why this place has such bad reviews, I enjoyed the very filling meal. I tried their fried pork dumplings, vegetable egg roll and lunch size cashew chicken. Both the lunch entree and appetizer were enough for two, so they make sure you are full! Good amount of food for the money. The fried potsticker was actually very yummy with a nice soy based sauce on the side. The cashew chicken was just what I wanted, with that thickened cornstarch based brown sauce with real mushrooms, zucchini, chicken and loads of cashews. They didn’t skimp on cashews or taste. Everything was tasty and totally what one is looking for as far as take out Chinese.
Atmosphere – It is setup as a counter serve place, no waitresses at close to 4pm on a Sunday, instead you order at the register and take a seat anywhere. However there are burn or mildew stains on the kitchen walls facing the dining room so I couldn’t give them 5 stars on atmosphere. Although I did enjoy the Chinese red and gold decor and shiney pretty tables.

All of the chicken dishes were kinda bland and full on soggy. The chicken wings lost their flavor, too. I understand new owners but change the name or keep the original recipes. I was expecting Van Chans food.

I ordered the orange chicken ,fried rice and sweat sour shrimp. Everything was awful. I never had orange chicken like this, but it just tasted like brown sauce chicken.
The shrimp that was given to us had too much dough on it and I felt like it was soaked in grease, but hasn’t been changed in weeks.
I never had Chinese food this bad and I’ve been to a lot of places before. I would stay away from here and if you’re looking for decent Chinese food go to the new noodle and dumpling restaurant In Rockwall.

If you love Van Chans, CAUTION! IT HAS BEEN SOLD AND IS NOTHING LIKE IT USE TO BE! We will no longer be driving 45 minutes to go to what use to be our favorite Chinese food place and now are on the hunt for a new Christmas dinner place. Their pork has a totally different flavor and texture than previously and the flavor was aweful. We left with one bite from each plate. VERY disappointed!

This restaurant is absolutely amazing! This food is super good and tasty and prepared super quick. The cashier was really nice and helpful since it was my first time. I also love how close this is from my house which super convenient. Definitely will be back for more.

Kung Pao Chicken it was terrible. The normal sauce is dark brown and spiced. Tonight the sauce was white/yellow with no spices at all. We order this all the time and it’s normally delicious. Not tonight

This is the best fried rice I’ve had since I moved from St. Louis. As you can see it’s actually fried. I didn’t even have to add any sauce. The flavor was excellent (almost better than from back home). This is the first thing I’ve tried but I will be back to try more things off the menu.
