The best meatball appetizer ever and the mussels appetizer was delish tender mussels nice size and the sauce bread Dipping worthy. Main entrees David has the blackened seafood spices were light not overpowering. And I had the shrimp Fra Diablo with homemade linguini. Again just the perfect amount of heat and great sauce.
Desserts are tiramisu and
Ice cream.
Val’s we will be back.

First time here, food was awesome. Alyssa was on point with service. My only issue is I waited this long to try this place out. New favorite place!

We ate here for the first time on Tuesday. My husband got the half price mussels and I got the broiled crab cakes with garlic spinach. Out of this world! We had the cream of crab soup which was phenomenal, and delicious breads. Our server was very sweet, helpful, and friendly. Thank you for a great experience, we will be back!!

Took a chance for a family of 5 including 2 children on a Sunday for dinner. We drove approximately 30 minutes to get there after searching for a place with mainly seafood options. Everything was delicious and had that home cooked taste. Awesome food! Awesome service! Will definitely be back again.

70th birthday party of 30+. From start to finish excellent job. We were all served at the same time and all were ample portions and hot. Service was very good. One order was wrong and Casey took care of it right away. First time there will go back.

Had an amazing time! I’m new to seafood, but thoroughly enjoyed king crab legs and various kinds of shrimp. It took a bit of a wait, but it was definitely worth it – delicious food (even the bread before the meal!) And incredible, friendly service. I will absolutely be going back.

Perfect trattoria. Casual, decorated nice, great menu, very tasty quality food, attentive friendly service. Varied menu choices for differing tastes and prices, pizza for kids, traditional Italian plates, and some fancy choices, but best if you like seafood – everyday menu is online plus there is a dozen more specials. BYOB, plus they sell table wine from local Auburn vineyard which is good and priced good. Desserts are made there. Easy mistake to forget to save room for dessert, don’t do it, or start with desert instead.

Good seafood and the tomato sauce with meatballs was fantastic. It was a little on the sweet side but I don’t mind that. The meatballs are some of the best I ever had. Sorry grandma but you got some competition. The stuffed flounder is a safe choice and it was above average because the crab meat was tender and delicious. As for dessert they have a variety of cheese cakes that are just the right density and a large serving size. Nice atmosphere and plenty of parking. It’s BYOB but you can buy wine by the bottle.

Don’t be fooled by the unassuming building and Comic Sans logo. Val’s is a hidden gem in Gloucester County. The atmosphere is warm but not stuffy. The staff is friendly, attentive, and accommodating. That by itself might be enough, but on top of it all, the food is reasonably priced and cooked fresh to perfection. Stop looking. Go here.
