Tucked away in the heart of the Valley, this Smash Burger spot is an absolute game-changer for anyone craving juicy, crispy-edged patties that melt in your mouth. I stumbled upon it during a weekend hike recovery session, and boy, am I glad I did! The classic smash burger—thin, caramelized beef smashed to perfection on a hot griddle, topped with American cheese, pickles, onions, and that signature special sauce—is pure bliss. Every bite delivers that satisfying crunch followed by smoky, savory goodness. Pro tip: Add the double patty for under $10; it’s a steal and hits the spot every time.
Service? Lightning-fast and friendly. The crew behind the counter chats you up like old pals, remembering your order if you’re a regular (guilty as charged). Veggie options like the Impossible smash keep things inclusive, and their hand-cut fries are golden, salty perfection—crispy outside, fluffy inside. Milkshakes? Creamy, thick, and customizable with wild flavors like salted caramel pretzel. No wonder the place buzzes with locals and road-trippers alike.
Ambiance is casual Valley vibes: outdoor picnic tables under string lights, perfect for sunset munching. Clean, quick, and zero pretension. If you’re in the Valley and skip this, you’re missing out on burger nirvana. Five stars all day—I’ll be back next week! Highly recommend for families, dates, or solo feasts. Parking’s easy, too. What are you waiting for? Smash it up! Top neighborhood spot!
Edit: Removing a star due to decrease in value. Prices have significantly increased. They have doubled the price of their falafel sandwich. Their burger combos are almost 40 percent higher too. Still good food, just not amazing pricing anymore.
And the prices! Come on now. They are helping the community out by keeping their prices reasonable. Super appreciated. Hopefully they can maintain it.
With its bright, nostalgic colors, comfortable counters and tables, friendly service and really great food, Valley Smash is refreshingly down-to-earth and uncomplicated. It’s almost deceptively uncomplicated, because the food is insanely good. The fries are seasoned and crispy— In-N-Out could NEVER. In fact this whole restaurant dominates In-N-Out. I will die on this hill, and anyone who tries this burger will agree. The meat is top quality, smashed and crisped on the outside but still juicy. The toppings—classic grilled onions, cheese, dill pickles and secret sauce—don’t overwhelm it. And it’s not just the burgers. My vegetarian friend raves over the falafel; another is in love with the chicken. And the price is right.
Please support this local hole in the wall! We can’t let good food, service and community spots like this go to waste!
Burger tasted great, fries were well seasoned and a huge portion.
Will definitely go back and wishing these guys the best in their business endeavors!
