The Lodge restaurant is housed in a historic 1880s hook and ladder firehouse with high ceilings, three fireplaces, and plenty of room to spread out. There are four indoor dining areas: the bar dining room, the great room dining room, the private dining room and the poolside lounge. The Lodge has valet parking available with direct access to our front door when you enter at 66 Orange Turnpike. You can also park in the public lot located at 27 Mill St and walk through our gardens to enter the Lodge.

I love this restaurant. It is the best in the area. You can enjoy a warm and quiet environment and really enjoy the variety of flavors of the excellent dishes of Chef Matt, who was the best by far. Very pleased to go to our table and talked to us to make sure everything was perfect.

I don’t even know where to begin! This place is a dream from beginning to end. I felt like I was on vacation from the moment I walked in the door! The ambiance is special and gorgeous. Lighting is on point. Went to the bar for a cocktail and was served by the lovely Anastasia. She is a true artisan and on a busy Saturday night, took the time to craft these wonderful cocktails. On to dinner, we were sat in this beautiful dining room, cozy and warm, truly spectacular. Our server Melanie was truly probably the best I have ever had and that is a high complement being that I have worked in and managed restaurants for over thirty years. We had octopus.. spectacular and a tomahawk steak cooked to perfection with the best mashed potatoes I have ever had. We’re not usually dessert eaters, but we could not skip this and we were so happy that we didn’t. Apple tart with vanilla bean gelato.. my husband made an NSFW comment about it, it was that good. I can’t wait to go back! If you have an upcoming special occasion, go there! You will not be disappointed. This place is a gem!! I wish I could give it ten stars!

We dined at the lodge for the first time about 3 weeks ago and it was SO fantastic- that we wound up going again a week later. The food is outstanding! The short ribs are savory and cooked to perfection. My husband is quite picky about steak- they knocked it out of the park!
The atmosphere and scenery is breathtaking and when you thought it couldn’t get any better…the service is beyond impeccable. A lovely and attentive staff from the valet, to the hostesses to the wait staff and bartenders.
Can’t wait to go back. OH- I almost forgot… the apple tart dessert is heaven.

Valley Rock continues to excel at all three!

We then were met with the warm and inviting hostesses that got us ready for our amazing dining experience.
Once seated, the service was the perfect combination of attention, knowledge and friendliness.
Each course was a knockout punch. Oysters, Prime Rib, Filet, Lava Cake, Crème Brûlée .
All prepared and presented flawlessly.
This place is the total package!

I love this place so much, it is so peaceful and relaxing. The food was absolutely delicious at the lodge, except the charcuterie and mashed potatoes. The charcuterie had no cheese and for 34$ should include more things. Also the mashed potatoes were 14$ but very pasty and tasted like instant mashed potatoes, also had no garlic. Otherwise everything else was excellent.

Incredible property! The food at the lodge was fantastic. Service was friendly and accommodating, but for the price point, I’d expect them to wait to clear plates until everyone is finished with the courses.
Lodge menu is small, but it has gluten-free, dairy-free, and vegan options (all marked on the menu). Everything our party got to eat was phenomenal.

Refused to sit 2 of us at tables by fireplace claiming those were reserved for 4 people.
2 hours later, when we are done with dinner, some of those tables are still available and some occupied by party of 2. Not cool!
