I can vouch for the other reviews! Had a very pleasant, satisfying and delicious meal here at Valley Inn on Fri March 17th! No St Patrick’s Day specialties but we came for the Italian dishes. The white pizza was delicious! I couldn’t decide between soup or salad- I had the salad. The blue cheese dressing was pungent and delicious! The French Onion reviewers were raving!!! I had the pasta Mario. I would have preferred Angel hair over Penne but the shrimp and clams were delicious with a flavorful garlic finish. Yes, the Bread was hard but we let it sit for a while because we requested the owner to tell us the ghost story of this historical ((1673) building! A very entertaining, impressive, jaw dropping Ghost and back story of the original house. Cant wait to find out more! We will be back! Live music, fire place, wonderful bartender and attentive wait staff!

The food and experience was great! The bread was too hard to chew, and they ran our card for more than we approved, even though we left a greater than 20% tip. I love the small town, homey feel, but dishonesty ruins future business from us.

What an adventure! My husband and I have been driving by here for years. We were always intimidated because the lot is always full and it seems intimate. Today was the day that fortune favorited the bold because we came in a few minutes early.

I live in Portsmouth and this is absolutely the best higher end restaurant not in Newport. The seafood and steak rival any restaurant in Newport and the bar is top notch. They also have amazing pizza. They take all their dishes very seriously. Great restaurant.

My family and I are in the New England area from Ga. We found out about the Valley Inn from the show Kindred Spirits, and we were definitely not disappointed. Everything about The Valley Inn Restaurant was amazing. I got the Cod, and it was probably the best meal (from a restaurant) that I have had. Our daughters got pizza, and it was sooooo delicious. We talked to the owner for a few moments as he was walking around and talking to all of the guests, and he was sharing with us some of the history that he didn’t share on the show. I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant.

The decor is very confused. Its like a creepy basement with signs about wine. The live music was too loud for such a small restaurant. Food was underwhelming for the price. They start off with bread which is inedible. The stuffie is actually pretty good. Soup was nothing great. The kale soup was spicy yet gritty and the French onion was just okay. The vodka penne was bland. The filet mignon was small for the price and underwhelming. Overall it was boring, old and loud. I wouldn’t return.
