I ate there twice, tried the mala soup and stir fry. It’s very tasty and I like that I can pick my own food items to be cooked. Only thing is that sometimes the seafood is still frozen, so hard to grab it with the tongs, so I didn’t get to have it in my food selection to be cooked. I always grabbing too much food to be cooked and end up have leftovers to go.

My wife grew up in China and malatang is her ultimate comfort food. We have been to malatang places in Seattle, Vancouver, and elsewhere. Most are great. Valley Full Flavor is excellent.
The family running the place is from Dongbei, so be sure to ask for the delicious guobaorou dish, which is a zesty, sweet, breaded pork dish with fresh cilantro and ginger in a lightly sweet and sour sauce; it’s a Dongbei specialty!
The nice thing about malatang is it can be quite affordable. If you just get plenty of dry herbs, greens, and meat slices with some dry instant noodles, you get a gorgeous bowl of delicious food for 10-15 dollars. The drinks are also not overpriced, and they offer complimentary lemon water.
Be advised: when they say spicy, they mean it. I love spicy, but even I don’t even like to get their medium or big spicy most days. I usually just get xiao la, a little spicy. That said their big spicy level is delicious with tons of tasty heat, so if that’s your thing, go for it.
This place is just another excellent and affordable eatery brought to us by the amazing Chinese American community. In terms of health, affordability, convenience, and robust flavors, Valley Full Flavor is hard to beat.

Great spot for ma la tang!
I had the medium spicy hot pot soup, which had amazing flavor and heat level.
The crispy pork dish is the best I’ve had, flavorful, crispy outside with soft inside.

Love love love the place. Super delicious and authentic. Malatang is great but I love the Malaban (the soupless one that is mixed with sesame paste) even more. And get the Guo Bao Rou! Some of the best in the US (and best in Seattle for sure) IMO
