We were a party of 3 yesterday, and we arrived late morning for our first visit to Valle Luna “Lunatics”, n 67th Ave and Happy Velley. We were immediately attended to by a nice accommodating staff who gave us time to choose, allowed us to tailor our order… and was quite patient!! We have been regular customers at the Valle Luna at 35th Ave and Bell Rd for years, and we wanted to see how this sister restaurant compared. All three orders were good. As for the breakfast burro, I was a tad disappointed as the egg was barely discernible, but she shredded beef was very good. I’m told the fish taco and the enchiladas were both very good. We will definitely go back. The place is new, and much smaller but more open than the location on West Bell Rd.

This is our go-to for Mexican food. Some of our favorites are the Bandito Burritos, Cheese Crisp and their Luna Bowl. Their food is consistent and they have a great atmosphere. Plenty of TV’s to watch your favorite sporting event. Lunch or dinner we enjoy both. The staff is terrific! They are personable and have great customer service. The bar has limited seating and they do not offer catering options.

Ever tried the other location on Bell, this location is much closer for us. It’s in a strip mall at 67th/happy valley. We went on a Friday at 5 and waited a good 30 minutes. The happy hour runs m-f 2-6 pm so it was busy. It’s loud in there but not awful, more of a sports bar feel(lots of tvs). Not a romantic spot, but good if you have kids that are a little loud.
Hubby got the southwest burger and it was great, with green chilies and a double patty. Fries weren’t fresh cut but crinkle fries and pretty good. I had the fish taco plate with whole beans/rice. It was really good. Chips were warm, hot table salsa was good, the mild was just ok.

I am loving their Margarita Mondays!! Not only are the Margaritas on Mondays even less than happy hour prices, but they actually taste great! I ordered 2! Love that they bring the chips and salsa out right away and that it’s chunky! My son loves the tacos, my hubby loves the giant burrito combo and my all time favorite is the cheese enchiladas-super cheesy!! Even when they’re busy, it’s a short wait. The atmosphere is fun and the service is great! We celebrated my son’s birthday this past Monday and they even brought him a free dessert! Definitely my favorite Mexican restaurant!!

The restaurant is very clean and tidy. The server was very friendly and attentive. The food tasted great and was fresh.
The cons were: The prices are a bit high for the amount you get.
The parking is limited in this close area.

Our first time here and we were blown away! We’re from St. Louis and stopped in while visiting the area. We ordered the mango habanero chicken wings—hands down our favorite wings anywhere—and the Mexican pizza with ground beef and jalapeño cream cheese, which was absolutely delicious.
Shannon was our bartender and gave us fantastic service—attentive, friendly, and welcoming. We even ended up coming back a few days later because we enjoyed it so much! On our second visit, we had the Bandito Burros and, of course, had to get the wings again. Everything was just as good the second time!
I had the White Death Margarita and my husband had the Sangria-Rita—both were excellent. Highly recommend stopping in if you get the chance!

Stephanie hooked us up with a Margarita flight during Taco Tuesday. It was awesome! We have options all around us for Taco Tuesday but Lunatics is by far our favorite.

Fantastic! Visited Saturday at 4pm just before dinner rush. Seated right away, chips were delivered within minutes of sitting down, and the waitress stopped by immediately to get drink orders. Food service was quick (2 taco salad), and we ordered to go as well, which took very little time when we finished our meal. Great service and food overall, thank you!

Our server Denise was over the top professional and made an additional effort to ensure our first ever visit to Lunatics was a memorable experience. The food was excellent and arrived at our table hot and tasty. The margaritas were good and the salsa options were great. We came here on a strong positive recommendation of a long time Phoenix resident. Having just purchased a home in the west valley we definitely will be back and expect to make this a regular destination. Denise obviously reflected her personal dedication to her job and I would assume is emblematic of the management and staff’s professional approach to making this establishment a success. Well done!
