Cheese baby, cheese!
I came here willingly for one reason, and only one reason: I saw someone’s picture of a dish called Alhombre and had to try it. Think of it like this…they throw a handful of pieces of all of their meats (plus bacon) on a platter and then smother it is cheese sauce. Yep, kinda like a garbage pizza but made of Americanized Mexican food. The list included chicken, steak, fish, bacon and somehow a couple of shrimps even though they weren’t listed on the menu as being part of the dish. There were some vegetables in there too but the dish could have used a bit more. Everything was cooked properly and very flavorful even without that luscious blanket of cheese laid over the top. Tortillas on the side along with the ubiquitous rice & beans.
We started with chips and salsa but the main event was the most memorable…until dessert arrived. The thing I love about flan is the drizzle of caramel sauce that usually accompanies the custard on the plate. There’s never enough to allow a little bit with each bite. Not usually. Not ever – until this plate of flan arrives and it was absolutely swimming in caramel sauce (see picture). I was stuffed to the gills but actually contemplated ordering another one just to see if it would look the same. I held off but will certainly return if for no other reason than to have another flan.

The Carnitas on the Carnitas plate were delicious. Half pitcher of skinny Margarita was enough for 2 and reasonable priced.
The restaurant need to implement a better receipt process, since they don’t give you an itemized receipt, just the total of the food purchase, which can be confusing.
Kids eat free on Tuesdays evenings.
They have Mon-Sunday lunch specials.

The service was really good, the lady was very welcoming. The veg enchiladas were really good, do ask for the spicy salsa I it was really good.

I love this place so much! My husband went here a lot growing up and showed it to me when we moved in the area. We go here often, the food is great, the staff is kind, and the atmosphere is lovely. Highly recommend!

I value good restaurants and pay for good service. This was my first visit. The room wasn’t busy (we were one table of five), yet my order arrived wrong and I had to repeatedly ask for basics. I didn’t send it back and left a $4 tip on a $20 bill. The next morning, the tip on my card had been adjusted to double what I authorized.
I called politely to resolve it. I was hung up on twice and told, verbatim, “you’re not important, I have big orders to take.” That response—not the $4—prompted this review. Trust matters.
