The magic truly comes from Pablo and his wife. You can feel their care in everything they do—from how they greet you at the door, to the thoughtful menu they create. They’ve built a place that feels like a genuine extension of their own kitchen, dedicated to serving the community with heart and remarkable integrity. A truly exceptional find!
This is review #2 with added pictures since Google only allows me to write one review per business..
If you ever have the privilege of dining at this restaurant, don’t forget to say hi to Pablo, the owner—he’s truly an amazing human being: kind, personable, and passionate about what he does. We were just there yesterday and tried the crab cake from the specials menu—it was honestly one of the best I’ve ever had. I have no idea what ingredients he uses, but I hope he never changes the recipe!
My husband ordered the steak and eggs and said he was transported to another place.
I’m almost hesitant to write this because it’s such a hidden gem, but they deserve the recognition. Pablo and his team are absolutely rocking it in the kitchen!
The atmosphere was calm & tranquil, even though it was packed. Freddy’s service was wonderful. Vale is on top of everything from seating guests to answering questions to bringing orders. We could tell there’s a lot of thought & care that goes into this establishment & it shows in every aspect, especially in service & flavorful food.
The prosciutto Benedict was eggcellent (couldn’t resist) w/ a well-balanced hollandaise sauce, the best perfectly toasted English muffin, wonderfully poached eggs & right amount of prosciutto. The very slightly dressed side salad added a touch of acidity to counter the hollandaise and slices of watermelon radish added crunch as well as to the presentation. My husband ordered the steak & eggs; the well-seasoned steak was cooked to perfection as were his over easy eggs. The biscuit was so tasty my husband, who isn’t a biscuit person, ate it before I could get a bite. The Chimichurri was herby and perfectly packed with flavor. The French toast with berries was the best French toast we’ve had to date from anywhere (including our home and we can cook). Light and flavorful, not soggy at all & topped w/ well cleaned fruit: ripe blueberries, strawberries & some sliced oranges & apples. Our side of crispy polenta was everything you’d want it to be: freshly fried, crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside sitting atop of a sauce that should be bottled and sold (hint of horseradish?) w/ shavings of Parmesan on top. We’d 1000% eat these dishes again. When other normal people would ask for the bill, we ordered the poached pear ricotta toast which was so nice. The coolness of the whole poached pear (poached w/ ginger & cinnamon) was a delight juxtaposed w/ the creamy ricotta atop the warm toast. Cappuccinos were perfect w/ the right amount of foam (smooth & strong but no jitters). The fig & burrata flame toast looked delectable from what we could see as it went by us to another table.
We loved the little touches from the small glass jar holding cubes of raw sugar w/ mini tongs (that perfectly sat in the locking mechanism of the jar) to the artwork on the wall created by a talented 2nd grader with a wonderful sense of color, to the small trays with black metal legs in the case holding pastries, to the plants that sit overhead. You feel like you’re at a friend’s place & everyone that’s part of this establishment is a little family w/ Vale & her husband being the leaders of a winning team. You feel good energy. From the way Freddy took our order to the way Vale placed our plates on the table & was attentive & checking on not only us but everyone else, & then of course add the beautifully plated & mouthwatering food made by Vale’s husband & his team of food wizards, you feel at ease & happy to be there. Vale’s is a place to enjoy- enjoy a good meal, enjoy the atmosphere, enjoy good company, to experience a moment to breathe & relax. It’s not a place to inhale your food & go, expecting everything in a rushed manner.
My husband texted friends to check Vale’s out & they came after we had left. We have a goal now to eat our way through Vale’s menu & can’t wait to see what’s in store in the future because we’ll be there to try it! Food is its own love language. This is a true labor of love by this small team full of heart & we appreciated our time there & will be back. Please do yourself a favor & treat yourself to a lovely experience & some truly wonderful food.
