I absolutely love breakfast tacos and the burbs can be hard to find good ones. This place is solid. Better than other chains. My partner has a traditionally tough order (breakfast tacos with no eggs) that is frequently messed up. They were great and quick about fixing it. Yeah, the price can be high but I mean this is highland village and rent is high so I totally get it. Am definitely coming back.

I ordered delivery from this place and when I received my food my rice and fries that I ordered had hair in BOTH, also the potatoes were undercooked . On top of it my Fresca which is really a horchata that tasted like water downed milk with a hint a cinnamon. Over priced food. The only thing that was decently good was the churros. Please check your food before you eat

I paid $20.83 after tip for 1 cheese enchilada and 2 chicken tacos. The sauce for the enchilada was not very good and the cheese was not melted. The chicken inside the tacos seemed like it was boiled or steamed and shredded, then put directly into the taco. There was so seasoning at all for the chicken. I also ordered a side of Pico and there was no Jalapeño in it. I was unable to return it as I was on my lunch break or else I certainly would have.

I prefer SoCal Mexican over TexMex so I was thrilled when Val’s opened in my neck of the woods. It was all I wanted and more when they opened. I feel like it’s declined in quality since then.
What I love-
1. Shrimp salad
2. Cheese enchiladas* with actual enchilada sauce not some “con carne” crap that you find around here.
3. Drive thru
What I don’t love-
1. There are always dirty tables – always! We were the only ppl in there for the entirety of our last visit but no one bothered to clean dirty tables.
2. Cheese in enchiladas is rarely melty. I have to ask for it to be that hot.
3. Everything served in styrofoam

The burritos get smaller and smaller every time new staff start, and I would say staff turnover is about 3 months. Phasing this place out as my ‘go to’. The food quality gets worse each time I go. This place was amazing a year ago but now… it is gross.

I visited this place for the first time. I had combo #4 – Beef crispy tacos. The beef did not have any flavor and was very dry. The sides, rice and beans, were ok, but nothing special.

Stopped here for some tortas and was not disappointed. We also ordered fries with them not knowing they would be huge
Food was great, fries could have used a bit more salt but that’s just me. We definitely stop again next time I’m in the area to try something else.
EDIT: Went back for tacos, and they are amazing. They’re $4 per taco but they are huge do totally worth it. My wife got the California burrito which was also awesome.
Also a plus that they have a drive through!

One star review because Google listing says it’s open 24/7 and the building says it’s open 24/7, however at 1:00 a.m. after a long day at work I drove an extra 15 minutes to eat here and they’re closed. Very bad business to be listed as 24/7 and not honor it

Discover the taste of SoCal here in Highland Village! They have great variety of fish, tacos, tacos, chimichangas, chips, and guac, Carnitas Pollo asado. Can’t go wrong here. For the orchata enthusiast, this is your place!! The fried mahi taco actually reminded me of the fish tacos I know and love so well in California.
