I’d give this place ten stars if I could. I eat at taco shops several times a week for over the past 50 years. Been with a Latin chick for 33 years (gotta make sure you eat well!). This is one of the best taco shops I’ve ever been to and their salsa is incredible. I’d drive miles to eat here. Few places can compare.

Excited a Valerie’s opened within walking distance. Walked in to order two tacos and two burritos. A young lad no more than 8 took my order. I’m a fan of family businesses and I support having younger kids work as long as they’re supervised. When my food was ready another young lad about the same age was giving my order to a diff customer. Again, you need supervision. After the other customer had handled my food it was then given to me. Had I not been so hungry I would have asked them make me new food.
$6 tacos were tiny and a total rip off. Burrito was good but all the shrimp was packed to one side and was not dispersed evenly. Went to order a fountain drink and of course no fountain machine so paid $3 for a can of coke.
While eating the young lads ran around like the establishment was their home. Quite an annoying atmosphere for trying to have dinner.
I’ve been to the other Valerie’s and they are amazing. However this particular one was quite the let down. Maybe it’s cause they just opened. Or maybe they opened too soon whatever the case maybe, someone ought to get things under control. If you’re short staffed maybe hire some adults instead of letting children run the business.

These tacos were so good! The tortillas were so good. Didn’t fall apart but still fresh. The chips were freshly fried and served warm. Would come again.

Delicious authentic tacos. We love to supplement our tacos with plain nachos ( freshly made chips !) and get the large 8 oz Guacamole! It is so yummy.
We generally get take out but this location on Tamarack is large enough to bring a group

Service : the young girl set a plastic bag of food on the counter fairly quickly after I ordered.
I was standing there waiting for her to say something. Then 10 minutes later, I finally asked,
and she said,
“I told you your food is ready” with major attitude.
– totally rude!.
Fish taco: – soggy wet tortilla! disappointing
Bean cheese burrito – $8.50 is pricey for bland beans .
I went there a second time another day.
Fish taco with soggy tortilla AGAIN.

Surprised this place has only a 3.9. Every time I’ve gone I’ve enjoyed the food. They make great burritos and fresh tortilla chips. Definitely recommend.

Had a fish taco because I was starving but I had dinner ready at home, needed something to carry me through. It was a bit pricey but it does have 2 types of cheese, and it was really good. Would def come try the other tacos.

Great Tacos! The only reason I gave this restaurant a 4 instead of 5 is because they don’t list all of the important info on their menu. I have an allergy to dairy and am celiac. I had placed a catering order last minute one day for 35 people and they handled it seamlessly. The tacos trays came with corn tortillas. I ate in store yesterday with my mom and son. I ordered a tripas taco and pollo asada taco. I didn’t consider the tortilla might not be corn since I had prior experience with their tacos when I ordered their catered trays(or I thought I did). I took a bite and immediately knew something was not right for me. I had also asked for no queso fresco as it’s listed on the menu as a topping, but realized they had put a melting cheese underneath all of the other toppings. The melting cheese was not listed on the menu or I would have said no cheese at all. Double exposure for me! I should have been more careful which is why I didn’t give them a lower score. It’s my responsibility to be more careful, but it would be great to have that info listed on their menu for the sake of other people who share my issues. That’s a huge change from the traditional taco. I am usually more relaxed at Taco shops knowing they are usually safe for me to eat at. I do have to state that their tortillas are bomb and the tacos were excellent! Please please please make these little menu additions to help people avoid the physical pain I have to go through these next few weeks because of the mistake I made. By the way, for those like me, I did ask the girl working the register if they have plain corn tortillas and they do, you just have to specify.
