Since moving to Long Beach I’ve been searching for my “go to” pizzeria, well Valentino’s Lakewood is IT!!! Delicious food and awesome service in a neat, fast delivery package. I usually get the Calzone with ham, onion and the ever hated pineapple (lol) and a side order of garlic knots. This time around I’m also giving the lasagna a try, and I’m sure it won’t disappoint.

Don’t make the mistake of going to other Valentinos this one has it’s food down!
The chicken wings are the best in the area. It’s shocking to say but it’s just that true. The big thing about knowing how good their wings are based on if they take the time to play with the Buffalo sauce and actually make the ranch dressing.
The pasta is approved by my Italian wife which is RARE.
I’ll be getting takeout may more times after today.

Saw they were under new management so decided to try despite the meh reviews. Got a XL pepperoni pizza and fries for $25, so fantastic deal. Pizza was pretty good, especially for the price — a little too much crust for my liking. Would go back!

There’s something about a classic pepperoni pizza that always hits the spot, right? Valentino’s seems to have figured it out with their balance of flavors. And yes, not having greasy breadsticks is definitely a win, sometimes the greasiness can overpower the flavor, so it’s nice to know
that they got that right. We ordered more pizza recently for a birthday and the guest were enjoying every bite.

Decided to check these guys out since I haven’t been able to find Detroit style pizza anywhere in LA that was worth it.
Ordered online, walked in early. The inside is pretty bare bones but not unusual for a pizza joint. Owner was nice enough to apologize for the wait even though I told him I was early.
Ordered a 4 corner meat lovers. Man this pizza was fantastic. My only problem is that the last time I had really good Detroit style pizza I was in my 20s and it didn’t come with heartburn. The sauce was authentic, the cheese was plentiful and the crust was perfection.
I’d say I’d order again all the time, but after a small meat lovers I was sweating all over. If this pizza ends up killing me, it’d be worth it though. 5/5 will return.
