Great Nebraska tradition. Decent price. Tons of options. For the gluten intolerant among you they WILL make you your own mini pizza that is pretty good! The restaurant needs a bit of sprucing up, polishing, painting and deep cleaning but it doesn’t detract from how nice it still is. Also great responsive staff that are super helpful. Only downside was the group of young men cursing up a storm when there were children present. Our staff was about the same age so I don’t blame her for not doing anything about it.

Very friendly staff. We went on Thursday, which is ‘make your own pizza’ night for the kids. It takes about ten minutes to cook, but then they have the satisfaction of eating their own work. The food is good, even the non-pizza options. Their biscotti cookies are amazing.

Love this place! I was Lincoln born and bred and, though I’ve lived in Wisconsin for 30 years now, I try to get back to Val’s every time I come “home.” The food is delicious, varied, and plentiful, and the surroundings are bright and cheery. Wish someone would open a franchise near Milwaukee! 🙂

Giving 2 stars for good food. KUDOS TO THE COOKS. However, bad experience with staff. Our plates weren’t taken until our very last plate. The lady walked by several times and even mentioned she would be back by to grab dirty plates. I saw her chat with several other tables rather than clean our table. It seemed like she was purposely avoiding our table.

Food is decent. Their buffet wasn’t bad. The staff was attentive but need to smile more. I’m partial to my rabbit food on a buffet. That needs a little work. There are more vegetarians out here than you realize. Especially when you don’t want to bloat while at work.

The food was decent however when I ordered a gluten free pizza they messed it up, but they did fix it so that was good. The service was excellent but the reason I only give it a 3 star is because of the cleanliness of the buffet and on the salad bar the plate were running low and the dressings were running low and the tomatoes were kind of old and soggy. Good for a large group but not for a nice dinner or if you want great tasting food.

Great client service! Sue was our server and she never let a dirty dish sit on the table. Very prompt and genuinely wanted to ensure we had a good experience. Only down side was I saw a couple dishes that still had something on them come from the kitchen and be put out for clients to use. It was after a short time I believe the manager came and looked and had them all taken back and washed again. Great and friendly staff 🙂
