Whimsical? Yes! Creative? You bet!
My first stop after hopping off the olde flying sardine can, and boy was I impressed.
Pastries were the highlights here. Some of the most beautifully crafted croissants with the perfect, not too buttery, crunch. Sublime is an understatement.
The Tres Leches French Toast made with sorghum and squash brioche was a different combination of unexpected, yet delightful, flavors.
Mesquite smoke trout roe and yuzu mayo on a hot dog? LOLZ! I don’t know what to say other than it was sooooo incredibly good! Recommended pairing : a hearty serving of chile-aioli tater tots.
What kind of beaker wielding nerd comes up with this deliciousness?
Highly recommend.

The avocado toast was very interesting! It came with green apple which actually was balanced out by all the flavors. The chai was very spicy and it left a taste in my throat which I wasn’t against but it provided as a cleanser in other foods.
A side of cornbread was small but it was unique.
All the food we got was good! The drinks took a bit long. I wish the chef that won the award was still there.

I don’t know how missed this gem! The food menu had a variety of meals that are completely different than what you would see at restaurants. The ingredients are unique and come together beautifully. If I could have tried everything on the menu, I would have. The staff was so wonderful and helpful on what pick for drinks and food. The atmosphere was great and it was a very welcoming spot. I would not only come here again, but bring others with me. Great place!

We stopped at Valentine for brunch and shared the burger and tater tots, the little gem salad with smoked trout, and the French toast. The savory dishes were delicious and well prepared. The French toast was like a dessert, very sweet sauces.
There were also a huge collection of house made pastries that looked great but we didn’t have room to try them.

Jenny and Caris helped us while we dined and were so personable. The food is some of the best we’ve ever had and love the locally sourced ingredients. If you love deep flavors and good vibes this is your spot.

Cool atmosphere. Attached to a vintage thrift store. Incredible coffee menu with exciting and inventive offerings. The brunch menu was robust and accommodating to many dietary needs. Only 4 stars instead 5 because of texture issues. The BLT was soggy and the tacos lacked any form of crunch or bold taco flavor. The star was the bowl of tots, crisped to perfection, smothered in aoli and topped with seeds for a fun twist.

What an absolute gem of a place. I was skeptical at first, but my wife said I would love it. They have the most amazing and unique drinks and foods. The vanilla corn cappuccino was off the charts good. Then I ordered the pretzel which came with a unique butter and honey, Tomato/tahini bread, and their Olive dish. Flavors that you never had before. This establishment opened in 2020 and survived Covid so that says a lot. I will definitely be going back and want to try some of their breakfast items next. Also, the staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable.

Don’t let the neighborhood fool you – this place is hip in an old school way. GREAT food and service; everything with an Arizona twist: nopales relish, tres leches French toast. Very good pastries! Brunch was super.

I would love to give a fair assessment of this restaurant as it has been on my list to visit for years. After finally getting to this area, we walked in around 1130.
Staff was initially nice, but it quickly devolved. By the end when we were leaving, our server didn’t even come to the table to drop off the ticket or pick it up.
I am not exaggerating when I say that literally every single food item we tried to order was sold out. The worst part? Every time we tried to order a new item, our server had to leave to check and see if that item was in stock. After three attempts we called it quits.
It’s really sad too, because the drinks were delicious and the food described seemed amazing! But what’s the point of having a restaurant in a brunch heavy city if you are going to be out of most food items by 11am on a weekend?
Definitely give it a shot, it’s worth a try, but be warned.

We celebrated our anniversary at valentine. Our waiter Chris was great offered amazing suggestions and was hospitable. I asked him what brand his t shirt was (cause he looked good) and his shirt didn’t have a tag in it. He found out and told me later. We got wine, salmon dip, and trout. Everything amazing. Chris was so fast and on it. We’ve been to valentine like 5 times. Chris with the mustache had the best service. It was a lot of fun.
