I was only in Fayetteville for a day and a half so I only planned one coffee shop visit. I have gotten to where I judge shops off of Instagram more than anything else. Typically attention to detail on socials goes hand in hand to attention to detail in person and, at least in this case, my theory proved true!
Vagabond has a great presence on social media and represents their vibes and drink offerings well.
Downtown Fayetteville and Vagabond’s location are so cool! I could tell this would be my go to shop if I lived in the area!
Not only are the location and the vibes top notch, so are the service, the drink selection, and quality! I believe I must have been speaking with the owner who told me all about the shop and gave suggestions on drinks. She also even let me sample a couple of things.
I got three drinks and two were spectacular, one was okay. The only thing that was not superb was their matcha. Nowhere can be perfect though! If I went back, and I hope I get to, I would get any of their coffee or other drinks offerings but would avoid the matcha.
This is a top tier shop! If you can only try one shop in Fayetteville, make this your stop!

Cute little local coffee shop with both classic options and fun unique flavors. I very much enjoyed the ube latte! I also got a sprinkled donut and it was surprisingly yummy. I recommend giving this spot a try ☕

This cute little coffee shop has the best coffee in town. I’m a coffee snob from WA/ID (IYKYK) and this is one of the only places I’ll go in Fayetteville. The coffee is creamy and the sauces taste homemade, not at all like the mainstream coffee chains. If you’re looking for a new addiction, this is your place!

After searching high and low for a good matcha spot in Fayetteville, I finally found Vagabond—and it did not disappoint! Unlike most coffee shops that struggle with matcha, Vagabond serves a perfectly crafted cup. The staff are incredibly friendly, making our first visit a pleasure. Plus, they offer other treats that are absolutely worth trying.

Best coffee in Fayetteville, without a doubt. I’ve been following Vagabond since they were just a coffee truck, through now to them growing and being downtown as a shop. The craftsmanship and quality of the coffee is second to none. I can always tell that effort goes into creating the recipes and drinks, and that’s not something I can say for a lot of places I’ve visited. While there are drinks I’ve liked more than others, I’ve never had anything bad here. High quality coffee and great people. The vibe is amazing as well for those who want somewhere to sit and chill while they enjoy their beverage.

There seems to be a lounge area behind the cafe tonsit and relax.
I tried the guava pastry, cinnamon rolls, cheese pastry, and apple pastry (my favorite).
All of my purchase came to under $50 which is amazing on Hay Street; very affordable.
On my next visit, we will try out the quad shots.

Love getting matcha here! they have different flavors from coconut to strawberry. I always get my matcha with honey and it’s so delicious they need to bring back mango sticky rice matcha asap!!!!

Went to dirt bags to get some matcha saw that they had a sign up for a 30 minute break. Walked around to kill some time and even ordered food while we waited. We back after 40 minutes and it was still closed. Stayed around for 10 more minutes before we left. Wasn’t able to get any matcha, which is a shame because they have the best matcha locally. Time of arrival 11:32 departed at 12:40
