This place was definitely mid, a solid 6 or 7. We went to lunch here for the first time in October, excited to finally try Vagabond Blues since it has such great reviews. Unfortunately, our experience didn’t live up to the hype.

The dining area was noticeably dirty—tables sat uncleaned the entire time we were there, even though it was a quiet Tuesday afternoon, and there were at least 4-5 people working. My husband got so frustrated he eventually asked for a rag so we could wipe down our own table.

We both ordered paninis with side salads and chai lattes. The lattes and salads were actually quite good, but the paninis were disappointing—way too much aioli and hardly any meat. You can see from my photo how thin the sandwiches were. For the price, it wasn’t a great value, especially if you’re trying to eat on the healthier side, or if you are looking for good protein options.

The atmosphere also felt a bit run-down and dirty. The wall art was missing pieces, wires were visible, and the overall vibe just seemed tired. If the owner put a little more effort into the dining area and the paninis it would be a better experience.

If you’re looking for a great lunch spot in the valley, skip Vagabond Blues and head to The Wandering Cafe or Turkey Red instead, both much better experiences for similar menu options.

We had a nice meal here. Lots of menu choices and we were ok with the pay first and wait for the food to come to you service. I had the chicken salad warp and was disappointed – it had limited chicken salad and a lot of lettuce. It tasted good but it was a lot of lettuce and tortilla. My wife ordered a ham and cheese sandwich and they asked if she wanted chips or salad. She thought they were included and said salad, but that cost extra which she did not realize until she paid. That seemed odd to us. The place has a nice local vibe but it was not a 5 for us.

Awesome coffee shop. Great vibe, tasty food, plenty of seating. Quiche was pretty good. Service was very friendly. I’ll definitely come back to try more of their menu. Great place to hang out and chat. They have wifi too.

This is a wonderful place to grab lunch, morning tea or coffee, or just a snack or a quick meal with a friend. The staff are very courteous and you won’t wait long for your order. Good sandwiches and salads.

Vagabond Blues is a good place in Palmer for food and espresso drinks or teas. I enjoy the lunch combo, which provides a cup of soup, a cup of pasta salad, and a wedge of bread. Their food prices are high in general, but are average for Palmer. Their espresso drinks are good, though sometimes it seems that the milk is foamed too much and the drink comes out lighter than other coffee places. There is a lot of seating, but it’s a popular place so arrive a little earlier than noon if you’re dining in for lunch.

HOLY MOLY! When did the prices get so high?! $17 for a BLT? Three sandwich’s two coffee and two drinks for a family of 4 totaling $73?! I was shocked. Have always loved this place but wow, what a jump in cost. Great food but that’s not an every day price we can continue to pay on a whim.

Great coffee shop, and dessert Cafe. Coffee tasted great and had the Pumkin Roll. Busy enough to know that it is a local Hotspot, but not busy enough to find a seat. You have to try this pumpkin roll, wow, it is so good!

It’s a cozy little cafe with sweet treats and friendly people working the counter. We had the pumpkin bread, cinnamon rolls, and hot chocolate and they were all delicious! I’m as bit of a cinnamon roll connoisseur and these were some of the best I’ve had at a restaurant–soft and fresh with really good pecans and caramel on top. We’ll be back to try other things. They had a really good selection of cookies, bars, etc.

4.5 if I could give half ratings here. The zebra hot chocolate (half white and milk mocha chocolate) was delicious. They gave me a coffee though for my first order but they redid the order once I told them. The space is a bit closed off, but other than that I like it. It looked like they had locally made products (like cookies) as well which was great to see!
