Oh my goodness, this place is so good! It’s located inside the Hotel St Marie and has two parts, a bar with excellent food (the bread pudding with rum sauce is to die for) and strong, tasty cocktails. We showed up for happy hour every day — try the rum punch — and ended each day here after dinner.

Our bartender was Melissa, and she’s so friendly and helpful. We always found a seat, even though the bar was always full. The food and drinks are wonderful, but I have a feeling she’s also part of the reason that this little place is always filled up with happy people.

I have to mention the coffee shop by the same name as well. The gentleman working the morning shift made a perfect latte for me and the tuna salad has some kind of secret ingredient that makes it really special.

We loved the hotel, and loved Vacherie maybe even more.

We stayed at the Hotel St. Marie for a few days. Breakfast in the sandwich shop in the morning was great! Delicious sandwich and home fries. Dan and Denae were so friendly and chatted about local things to do.

In the evening we went to the bar. Good food, great service. I unfortunately don’t recall the bartenders name but she was excellent. Even if you aren’t staying at the hotel it’s worth stopping in.

Fantastic burgers and sliders that you must try. The gumbo is good enough. VERY strong cocktails and best happy hours place to stop by. Also, great service. We are visiting from Austin, TX. We will be back before the end of the year for sure.

Vacherie is great smaller-sized restaurant off the beaten path. The dining room has limited seating and I ended up sitting at the bar, but the quality was still high. They serve many local favorites, and I ended up ordering the red beans and rice with fried chicken poppers and a side salad. Everything tasted very good and the portions were generous. The prices were also very cheap for the area. I highly recommend dining here for a great local meal.

Wife and I visited this spot on a whim during our overnight stay. We had the sampler and a couple of Queen’s Crown cocktails. That was the BEST Red Beans n Rice I’ve ever had. And the gumbo was scrumptious. We left no crumbs in that platter. Bartender was very down home and fun to chat with. Would recommended this spot off Bourbon.

This place was so incredibly friendly every time I got coffee and pastries while staying at the hotel. Take your time and enjoy your experiences with people who live here in New Orleans – and they’ll give you an incredible cappuccino and warm up your pecan roll and tell you to put some butter on top of it before you eat it.

Nice, cozy atmosphere and friendly staff. My fish sandwich tasted like it was fried in old or burnt oil. It was NOT good. My wife said her salad was pretty good (though $9 for the additional griiled chicken was pretty ridiculous). Drinks were good. It’s probably worth another visit

Great little breakfast/cafe spot on the corner where the grits cup was cheese and eggs and bacon and grits. Fruit bowl is a great choice too.

Come here and relax. It’s a chill vibe which is well deserving of the overall 5. The service is friendly and interactive. The patrons are also nice and are willing to strike up, or participate in conversation. The happy hour snacks are pretty good. It’s not health food, but it’s fun food so don’t be a healthy Heather and complain.

Happy drinks are straight forward, which is nice and simple. Close to all the major hotels. It’s kinda a nice break from the center of French quarter.

Got the Mac and cheese (linguine, not elbows) and shrimp sliders.
