We just attended a Travelzoo event at Vaasu where we enjoyed a 5course tasting menu with paired wines. Wow, from the welcome on arrival it was a fabulous evening which exceeded all our expectations. The food, by Atul and Ping was superb, beautifully spiced and truly delicious and the wines complimented each course, the service was also outstanding. All the staff were pleasant and polite and both chefs were generous with their time, going round and talking to everyone at their tables. The evening ended with an interesting and entertaining Q&A. A brilliant evening, a big thankyou to everyone involved.

We used a 3-course voucher at Vaasu and it was totally worth it. We’ve visited this restaurant multiple times, and it has never disappointed us. The food is consistently great, full of flavour, and beautifully presented. The service is equally impressive—friendly, attentive, and professional. Overall, a wonderful dining experience every time. Highly recommended!

We have visited twice—once when Atul Kochhar was cooking and once when he wasn’t—and have also ordered takeaway. On every occasion, the food was excellent and the service was great.

During our sit-down visits, we opted for the tasting menu. Every dish was beautifully prepared and flavorful; the quality and care put into the food are evident. We had heard that the experience might differ depending on who is in the kitchen, but we found both visits equally impressive. In fact, I feel the food here rivals some Michelin-starred restaurants I’ve visited, but without the incredibly high price tag.

A few notes for improvement:

Accessibility: I would strongly advise against this restaurant for those with physical disabilities. The standard toilets are very tight, and there is no dedicated disabled toilet.

Online Ordering: If you order takeaway online and make a mistake, you cannot change the order, which is quite frustrating.

Even the paneer (which I ordered by accident!) for the takeaway was delicious.

Would we go back? Absolutely—assuming they’ll still have us after this honest feedback!

The 7-Course Tasting Menu (£69)
The care in preparation was evident in every dish. Here is how the menu unfolded:

Street Food Inspired Snacks: A trio of bites. We loved the Rajmah Ki Tikki (kidney bean croquette); the texture was excellent with a lovely level of spice. The tartlet also had a very nice flavor, though I found the spiced cheese cube to be a bit bland compared to the others.

Scallop: The pan-seared scallops were perfectly cooked and well-spiced, served with parsnip puree and caviar.

Duck: This was compressed duck, which gave it a unique texture. Paired with the Chettinad sauce and kumquat salad, it felt like a clever nod to “Duck à l’Orange,” which really brought the dish together.

Prawn: The curry leaf jumbo prawn was well-cooked and beautifully spiced, served with asparagus in a coconut sauce.

Main Course (The Lamb): I chose the Champaran Gosht. This slow-cooked Lake District lamb leg was a very well-cooked dish, exceptionally tender and flavorful.

Accompaniments: The Pulao rice was excellent, and I really liked the Naans and the Black Lentils (Dal), which were very nicely spiced.

Dessert & Surprise: The 56% dark chocolate fondant was good—but then again, what’s not to like about a great fondant? The birthday cake was also a very nice surprise; it was a lovely gesture and tasted fine.

We visited using a voucher and had a lovely 3-course lunch. Some of the dishes we chose required a small supplement, which we didn’t mind at all and felt was completely understandable for items like scallops or steak.

Every dish we had was very tasty. For my main, I chose the pan-seared seabass with broccoli and a mustard & coconut curry sauce. The fish was cooked perfectly with beautifully crispy skin, and the sauce was well balanced and not overpowering, complementing the fish nicely. My partner opted for the beef rib-eye steak, which was also cooked perfectly and full of flavour.

Dessert was just as good – we had the apple crumble and the cherry trifle.

Would definitely visit again.

One of the BEST Indian cuisine experience tasted. Having experienced Sindhu Marlow earlier this year, I thought I’d try Vaasu aswell.

Went for our wedding anniversary to enjoy a 5 course tasting menu And WOW it didn’t let us down. The food was undeniably delicious – many compliments to the kitchen/chefs. The service was exceptional, from the moment we entered and left the building. Little touches like – may I take your coat and hang it up. Perfect attentiveness.

We came for an early lunch, very quiet – not much of an atmosphere but didn’t bother us, gave me and the mrs a chance to reminisce our years together lol. Few tables occupied but the service was excellent all around. The staff were very knowledgeable and welcoming. Making every effort to make us feel comfortable.

Every course severed was accompanied with an explanation of the item in detail. Which was very welcomed.

The food quality and taste was amazing. Having grown up with Indian food, you can tell the food here was taken up another level from the usual Indian Saturday night takeout.

The last bit was special as they brought an extra desert to wish us a happy anniversary, nice touch.

Though we had vouchers, we had to pay extra for supplements for lamb and prawns plus extras like garlic nan plus drinks all chargeable. Overall, not too bothered due to overall experience was well worth it.

Start to finish – AMAZING.

Visited with a voucher for 3 course lunch for two.
It was quite busy for a mid week lunchtime. Tastefully decorated.
As stated vegan options are available but we found that they are not actually categorised as designated entities on the menu. We stated that we were vegan & the waitress consulted with the kitchen & gave us a starter , main course & pudding that fitted the bill.
The service throughout was excellent & the food was attractively presented & very good.
It would be nice to have a little more choice in the vegan line considering how varied Indian cuisine is.
That apart , a thoroughly enjoyable experience.

What can I say, we have just had a fantastic 3 course lunch at Vaasu.
The food was amazing, tasty & top quality too. We enjoyed excellent service and had a superb 1/2 carafe of Gavi Gavi white wine which paired so well with the food.
5 stars all the way and we would highly recommend this restaurant to everyone.
We would like to thank all the staff who made our experience so special.

Our experience at Vaasu was exceptional from start to finish.

The service was outstanding, attentive, warm, and genuinely welcoming without ever feeling overbearing. The curries were superb beautifully balanced, rich in flavour, and clearly prepared with care and high-quality ingredients. Every dish we ordered was impressive and perfectly presented.

What truly elevated the evening was the personal touch. Our waiter recognised my partner, who previously held an event there, and went above and beyond to make our visit special. The extra effort and attention to detail did not go unnoticed it made us feel valued rather than just another table.

Overall, an excellent experience all round. Fantastic food, impeccable service, and a team that genuinely cares about their guests. We’ll absolutely be returning and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for quality dining in Marlow.

We booked the seven course taster menu with wine flight. The food was delicious and served in a good timely manner with the wine. All wines were delicious: I would question the quality of the champagne though.

Visiting on a Thursday night, there were only three tables within the restaurant all night, including ours.

The toilets were dirty and the sanitary bin was over spilling in the ladies, despite the lack of customers.
