Highly recommend all their pizzas, calzones and wings.
Not wanting to make dinner tonight we decided to get pizza (my husband wanted a Sausage and pepper grinder) Unfortunately the website at San Marco listed the sausage and pepper grinder as “out of stock” so beng I work near this Atlantic Beach location I decided to give it a try.
The food was OK. My husband LOVED his grinder. Our pizza’s were ok. Mine was overcooked, and i asked for extra cheese, paid for it but didn’t get it.(see picture)
The wings were horrible and we threw them away. I asked to eliminate the spice/hot oil. These wings were so unbelievably hot we just couldn’t eat them
But my biggest concern & why I will not use this location in a pinch any longer is because of the staff.
San Marco are always polite, professional and willing to help. The team here, not so much. I stood up front for almost 10 minutes without any acknowledgment. Three to 4 people were cooking, not even a hello, soneone will be with you. Again ny very 1st time in.
Then a soft spoken gal came up, quiet, but at least she advised me where to park.
When I moved my car and parked I received the message my order was done. The young lady barely said anything to me, I told her I was there because I received a text message. She said ok, nothing else (let’s just say not warm & fuzzy) she handed me the food and I told her I usually look b4 I leave to be sure everything was OK. Apparently they don’t do this here. She gave me a your kidding, right look. She then handed me the bags, I reiterated that I wanted to be sure I had everything. No response, she just stood there. That’s when I noticed my desert was no where to be found.
Had I drove 45 minutes home and found this out I would have been furious.
She then went and retrieved the 2 deserts, and I went on my merry way.
Im not sure if because I didn’t leave a TIP on the app that maybe this is why they acted like this, but not acceptable in my mind. Little did they know I was going to give them a cash tip (if that was the reason)
Leadership should coach the team working tonight. Consumers can go anywhere. Take pride in your brand, stand out a little, especially within customer service.
Again, so greatful for “our” V Pizza – they are great servicing their customers!! You can definitely feel the difference!!
This pizza was insane. I am from Pennsylvania and my friend who lives here introduced me to the LOML: V Pizza.
Their kitchen uses only the finest and freshest ingredients. It’s seed oil free, preservative free, no artificial ingredients and cooked in a 900° wood fire oven to absolute perfection.
Thin crust, unsweetened red sauce, basil and the most delicious mozzarella cheese made for the most enjoyable pizza experience I’ve had since being in Italy myself! (I only eat homemade pizza because NO ONE uses 00 flour/Italian flour and EVOO in the commercial industry).
The manager, Florio, was kind, caring and excited to share his passion for his trade.
I am so grateful for this establishment creating this AMAZING, maha approved, authentic pizza experience and in the 2 more days I have here, I hope to try it again! They’re open late so maybe a midnight calzone will suffice.
