I had an excellent experience at this Restaurant! The owner and staff were all present and welcoming, the place was clean and cozy, and the seating was very comfortable. The food was absolutely delicious

I ordered the lamb soup with a small BBQ sampler, and everything was perfect. Honestly, this might be one of the best restaurants in Washington. Highly recommend!

Amazing Uyghur restaurant! The noodles were fresh, the lamb was perfectly seasoned, and the flavors were authentic and bold. Super friendly service and a cozy vibe. Definitely one of the best hidden gems in town — I’m coming back for the Chuchure Dumplings

Had a wonderful experience here. Was excited to see an Uyghur restaurant come up on a google maps search on recent visit to DC. I am American but come from a similar culture and was excited to get food similar to what I grew up on. Staff was so warm and friendly, it felt like being at home. The atmosphere and decor are very authentic. It’s spacious and they have great window views. If you’re looking to feel like you’re doing a little cross continent traveling without leaving the continent, you should try this restaurant next time you’re in DC!

It looks like the shop has recently switched owners, as the store front was still showing “Eerkins”.

Liked the spicy lamb tripe, fried lamb shank and laghman. The food was heavy in spice, but that’s probably the typical uyghur food around here. There were some traditional chinese dishes on the menu, which might balance the spice-heavy dishes well. Also didn’t get to try the skewers, but they look good!

Downstairs looks like you might be in the wrong place, but upstairs is wonderful little gem. The service was great, the people kind, and the food delicious. If you are wondering if you should go, just do and enjoy what feels like you are a having a home cooked meal.

Very disappointing. My friends and I were really looking forward to trying this place out, but we were underwhelmed by the quality of food and service. One of my friends wanted to try the lamb shank, but they told us they ran out. Then, when my friend tried to order pilaf, they said they also ran out of rice! My friend ended up getting the meat pie, but it took over an hour to get out to us. My other friend ordered the beef noodles, but there was maybe a total of five pieces of meat in the entire dish. My dumpling soup was also pretty bland (and they explained that they received complaints the day before of the dumpling soup being too salty, so they added less salt this time). On top of all that, the waitress was very inattentive and did not seem to know a lot about the menu. Overall, I would not recommend spending your money here.
