This is the best USO I’ve ever visited. The service was exceptional. They offered me breakfast and cookies to go right away. They have the most beds and computers from any other USO that I’ve been to. They have plenty of lounge chair’s and some acoustic guitars. They’re open 24 hours most of the time.

I was just there this past Saturday. I read the past reviews to see if I was the only one, but I am not the only negative reviewer. Bottom line, this USO is the most uncomfortable one I have ever been in, after visiting many!
The locked door and the whole check in process was the first negative indication. Once inside, having to wear a USO sticker to get snacks and drinks was most ridiculous! I mean everyone inside had to scantheir ID card and sign in on the tablet to be there! In addition, baggage had to be checked and could not be with you during the stay. What was worse was the front desk guy who seemed to thrive on the whole check in process. At other USOs I am used to only showing an ID and signing in…and being welcomed by staff. Can’t recall being welcomed by the front desk guy.
After getting my snack and drink, I wanted to sit in a comfortable chair to relax only to be directed by the front desk guy to sit in the table and hard chair area. There were no written directions to indicate this rule. Later, after getting a hot dog, I was blocked from the condiments by the front desk guy while he chatted with others at a table about his alleged accomplishments in the military. He finally moved after a long period of time of ignoring me as I stood in front of him and a polite request to let me by. This was disturbing and after finishing I decided to leave even though there was an hour before my flight. When I went to get my bags, the front desk guy monitored me. He then asked for the USO sticker and baggage tags as if these were classified documents. After leaving I felt relieved. Never will go to this USO when I return to St. Louis!

One of the very least inviting USO locations I’ve ever encountered. I was welcome in but told that my parents would need to stay outside. This is not the first time I’ve experienced a cold reception at this particular locale. After using this location on several trips, the common theme is unfriendly, rigid, unwelcoming staff.
Historically the USO has been a welcome location to rest during a day of travel and open to my family. Several reviews have alluded to the unwelcoming environment established here in St Louis. Unfortunate that they are the face of USO in Missouri.

I don’t know if this place is meant for service members or just a judgment area. As soon as I walked in, I was yelled at by a dark‑skinned man with a white mustache who asked if I had a sticker, who I was, and whether I even had ID. I kept smiling after his comments, but when I called him “sir,” he replied, “I’m not sir, I work for a living.” So what should I call him then bro, baby, or honey? He didn’t have a name tag, so I didn’t know his name, and it’s a social norm to call someone “sir” when you don’t know them. The vibe was very unwelcoming. I don’t know where this volunteer is from, but they need to fix their attitude.

This is an excellent USO. Great place for any troop on travel to stop by and relax a bit before continuing on. Free Food, drink, movies, WiFi, relaxing chairs, computers, games, plenty of places to charge your devices, etc.

Great folks here, plenty of room. Well organized luggage storage, tv area, gaming and internet, and a quiet area. A kids area with toys and such. For those musical folks, they are a few guitars in a sitting area to use. Great snacks, and drinks. Friendly and professional with us and our service dog.

Yeah, not my favorite USO. when you’ve been to dozens of USOs, one learns the norm for how they are run. This one’s run like an internment camp. The door is LOCKED from the outside, where a volunteer peers at your ID through a camera and judges whether one is worthy to enter (many are turned away, I’m told). You’re then given a sticker, and WATCHED. You must surrender ALL luggage to them, including your backpack- but they’ll let you take out your laptop (thanks!). If you want to fetch something from YOUR luggage, you must prove to their satisfaction that it’s in fact, YOUR bag (by checking the tag they issued you).
Now I’m SURE that someone stole a suitcase once, so now they just HAVE TO. They HAVE TO. Do it this way. They. Just. HAVE. To. Get it? They have to.
I did get to eat hot dogs though. And some volunteers were nice. But listen up St Louis- No other USO IN THE WORLD behaves this way. It’s pretty nauseating.

Really weird USO. First of all, it’s outside of TSA, so I can’t even hang out in there before my flight unless I want to go through TSA again.
Doors locked and you have to scan ID, then you have to sign in as usual. Gotta check your bag, which is kinda nice so that way the living space is all clear, but the tone of voice at which I got told to move was less than warm and inviting like a USO should be. Got a cup of coffee but couldn’t even take it to go sit and relax by the nice, comfortable looking lounge chairs. No signs that said no food or drink in this area, just the same dude as before telling me where to go and when to do it.
