The food was honestly messed up. The rice weren’t steamed properly or cooked in a way that felt fresh or comforting. I ordered beef chilli dry, and the meat wasn’t cooked well in the spices at all. The chicken in the Kung Pao was also off because it had a noticeable smell. Even the hot and sour soup was just mid. Overall, the whole order was really disappointing. The prices were high, but the food didn’t meet my expectations at all. For what I paid, I expected much better quality and taste. On the other hand, the staff was really good and attentive, and the ambiance was nice. They took care of our needs, and overall the service was solid. But I came for the food, and it just didn’t give the comfort or quality I expected. I would’ve liked to say I might come again, but honestly, this was my first and last try. I’m adding pictures to show that while the presentation looks nice, the quality is honestly very poor. The color of the food is dark, but despite that, the taste was completely off. The rice didn’t have any salt, pepper, or basic seasoning. Overall, it looked good but tasted nothing like it should have.

Absolutely outstanding experience from start to finish. The chicken corn soup with egg drop was comforting, rich, and perfectly balanced—easily one of the best I’ve had. The chicken lollipop was amazing: crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and packed with flavor. The Mongolian beef was savory with just the right level of spice—bold, well-balanced, and cooked perfectly. The chef’s special was truly next level and honestly to die for.
The service was priceless—attentive, warm, and professional—and the pricing was right on point for the quality and experience. Portions are very generous; each plate is easily enough for two people, which makes it an excellent value.
If you’re visiting during MASCON, this is a must-visit spot for incredible food and hospitality. Highly recommended.

we came from texas to chicago as tourist and decided to try usmania out and everything was awful. the hot n sour soup had big chunks of vegetables and they were overcooked to the points carrots tasted like boiled potatoes. the noodles were SOUPY?? soupy noodles and so overcooked. the chicken schezwan was bland, the monglian beef was more onions than beef and also tasted like nothing. we also ordered the mont lemonade which was 90% ice 10% lemonade. the service was not the best too had to ask twice for everything even napkins. overall not a good experience at all would not recommend to anyone

It’s time to close the store out fix the issue. Usmania’s standard has gone down day by day. Quality of food and taste is compromised but prices are increased. They give you tons of batter in the name of meat. Sharing this review after multiple incidents. All pics attached. Ordered orange chicken and half of it were just lumps of batter fried and the rest are coated in thick batter. Orders fried shrimp and again very thick batter coating with overcooked rubbery tiny shrimps. Ordered chicken lollipops and it was overcooked, more towards burnt and doesn’t even look like lollipops. Ordered chicken noodles and after frustrating of searching for chicken I had to dump whole container on a plate just to find few pieces in the whole box (can’t attached video, pic attached). Shame on them trying to make money only. I can understand profit but this is straight scam and greed. Doesn’t taste good also. Try it if you love fried batter and soy sauce.

We dined here today and were pleasantly surprised by the quality and service.
We tried the crab rangoons, sesame chicken, orange chicken, noodles, and the piña colada daiquiri, everything was delicious. The customer service was just as good, with staff who were friendly, and welcoming.
One thing I really appreciated is that everything on the menu is zabiha halal, which made the meal even better.
Overall, highly recommend! Will definitely be coming back.

Me and my fiancé decided to have lunch and stopped by usmania Chinese Restaurant. Honestly it doesn’t deserve a hype! And injustice in taste for the prices they kept on the menu! We placed an order for haka noodles, chicken fried rice and chicken lollipop.
Honestly the chicken lollipop was good in taste but the the rest two cuisines were absolutely tasteless even though we asked the person who served us to make it spicy and flavorful it wasn’t something we expected from the restaurant. We even asked the person to give us the other noodles than the thicker one but they served us the thicker one, and the fried rice was absolutely tasteless and we had to ask for a remake but even after the remake it got even worse in taste and we ended up paying 54$ something for absolutely tasteless food. Besides this we even ordered drinks which never arrived to us and had to leave without the drinks. Would honestly never recommend anyone this restaurant.

Quick and efficient customer service, I’ve been here a few times and I’ve always had a great experience. great music and not too loud, I would 10/10 recommend trying it out !!!! Also super clean! Food is just overall amazing, you just have to see for yourself !

Usmania Chinese Restaurant is a treat! The mix of desi and Chinese food is so yummy! I love how they blend the flavors together. The chicken fried rice is awesome, and their spicy desi dishes are just right! The atmosphere is nice, and the staff is friendly. Definitely a great spot for a delicious meal!

We (eight family members) drove an hour+ from the suburbs for some desi Chinese halal food, and we were not disappointed! We were worried because some of the reviews are brutal, but our experience was outstanding. Great food, great service, great chai. We especially liked the dry chicken Manchurian, egg fried rice, sizzler chicken, and Mongolian beef.
