Don’t understand some of low reviews. Best most authentic mexican restaurant I’ve found in the area. Great staff food was delivered fast. Gonna tell my friends.

This is my family’s go to Mexican restaurant. I’ve had many different items off the menu. I’ve never had a bad meal here. Staff is always quick and friendly. Plenty of chips and salsa when you arrive. Salsa has a nice zing to it. Drink orders are taken quickly. Orders arrive in a timely manner. Always plenty to eat or even take home.
Urbano’s is a clean, typically decorated Mexican restaurant. Spacious, never over crowded, with a nice full bar and plenty of TV’s playing sports. Also an outside dining area.
This trip my guest had the 2 burritos combination plate. I opted for my favorite, a special on this night, Pozole. If you never have had it it’s like a salsa soup with big chunks of slow cooked pork or chicken in it. Yum.
Urbano’s servers it with fresh cabbage, cilantro, lemon wedge, and a bowl of dried oregano. Add the ingredients, give the lemon squeeze, sprinkle the oregano, and bring your taste buds alive. It’s a 5 star bowl of soup.l

I purchased Chili Verde and it was not my favorite version of the dish. It wasn’t spicy enough for me. Urbano’s is near Sun City and the restaurant regulars may not like it spicy. Before I am accused of “ageism,” please note that I am a senior myself. Additionally, the meat contained too many chunks of fat that I cared little for. My two companions did like their respective meals. In fairness to the restaurant, I am much more a fan of Southwest food rather than pure Mexican dishes.

So I went and ate here yesterday and the chicken in the beef were very old. I got food poisoning and got sent home from work. I called and asked for the manager to call me just so I can let them know that I got sick from eating here no phone call. No nothing. The service was great. The food was just horrible.

Not a bad place. Very good salsa. I will try the other menu items but not a big fan of their chile relleno. It was a bit on the small portion and the cheese they use is not soft white cheese I am used to. However, the Taco was excellent!

Fairly ordinary food with little flavor. Service is fast and friendly. Price was ok. Homemade tortillas were good.
