Urban Teri Kitchen absolutely slaps. Every bite tastes like it’s been marinated in pure happiness — bold, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The katsu curry was straight comfort in a plate: crispy cutlet, rich curry, total perfection. You can tell everything’s made with care, not rushed. Portions are huge, the service is super friendly, and the vibe is chill but cozy. Easily one of my new go-to spots in San Diego for comfort food that actually feels special.

Honestly, I love this place. Point in case, I never leave reviews at restaurants but this one deserves it. I always special order Tofu Teriyaki Fries and they always accommodate me even though it’s not on the menu.
The staff is super kind and considerate and the teriyaki tofu fries are out of this world. Like, groan-into-your-food-like-a-proper-foodie good.
Price point is slightly above base level but not absurd.
For a no frills kinda place, it’s honestly fantastic. I do and will always recommend giving them a try.

This little family-owned spot recently opened April 1st, 2025. I HAD TO TRY THE RAMEN. It did not disappoint. I used to travel to San Diego to get good flavorful ramen and now it’s right in my neighborhood. I highly highly recommend trying the Chicken Katsu Ramen with a side of kimchi. I haven’t even finished my food but I can’t wait to come back to try other items on the menu!! Let’s support this wonderful family-owned business! It’s a great addition to the neighborhood.

We stopped by on our way to San Diego with my nieces and nephews and had a great experience. The owner was very kind, the staff were welcoming, and everything we ordered was delicious.
The Korean fried chicken, teriyaki beef, and chicken katsu curry were all fresh and full of flavor. We’ll definitely be back!

Every dish was GREAT. We came here starving and ended up ordering way too much, which worked out since we had leftovers to take home. I got the Chicken Teriyaki with extra rice instead of the mac salad, and also ordered the Gyoza. The other meals at our table were the Chicken Teriyaki Fries with cheese, Parmesan, and green onions, with the sauce on the side, and the Chicken Katsu. I tried everything, and honestly, it was all better than expected.
I’m definitely coming back for lunch or dinner, probably a lot.
We also got the zero-sugar soju, which was good too. My favorite items were the Chicken Teriyaki, Gyoza, Chicken Teriyaki Fries, and the kimchi. The kimchi especially stood out. I’m already looking forward to coming back and trying more dishes, especially the ramen.

What a pleasant surprise on how good this place is! I ordered the Urban Ramen which is the grilled chicken ramen. The broth was perfect, the noodles delicious and the amount of grilled chicken was just right. So good! We also ordered the chicken sandwich, wow it was generous in portion and loaded with pickles and sauce. Best sandwich I’ve had in a long time. The last plate we ordered was the Teri chicken plate. Best teriyaki chicken and the macaroni salad!

Having been here twice, I can confidently say this restaurant surpasses L&L Barbecue in my book. The food on both occasions has been nothing short of fantastic. My go-to, the #2 Teriyaki Beef with extra rice, was utterly delicious and boasted an incredible aroma. I love that each meal includes a small salad, and the portioning is ideal – satisfying without leaving you feeling uncomfortably full. The thinly sliced beef is cooked to perfection, beautifully glazed with just the right amount of sauce. The rice, too, is spot on: perfectly sticky with a delightful chew.
Beyond the amazing food, the service is always friendly and remarkably fast. An added bonus is the entertaining Korean music videos playing, which adds to the overall atmosphere. I’m genuinely thrilled they’ve opened here and highly recommend everyone give them a try!
Update: tried the #10 hot teriyaki chicken….DAYYYUM! Delicious, and the sauce has an excellent kick to it! I love spicy food

This place has so many good options for Hawaiian-Korean fusion style dishes! I tried their Teriyaki chicken and Kalbi short ribs and they tastes amazing! Plus the lemonade was a bomb. I’ve tried many different places for Hawaiian and this place has the best savory flavors by far and such generous portions. The staff was really friendly and service was quick and thoughtful. Casual and great vibe for friends and family. Will definitely come again!

Visiting from LA and was craving ramen. Went here for lunch and it was so good! Had the ramen and fried korean chicken rice. Both delicious. Came back for dinner to get the curry katsu which was equally good. The curry was super smooth. Portions were great
Service was excellent. The hostess and host were very pleasant.
