A group of us went for lunch, my first time. I ordered the Ribs and Russets and the ribs were awesome. I asked for the sauce on the side with no problem. The salads were both good but nothing special. Falafel wrap and pork sandwich were both tasty but the coleslaw on the pork was placed on the bottom bun before the meat. This completely saturated the bun so the bun was inedible, boo. The walleye fish fry was over the top excellent. Beau helped me with my order and was so pleasant! Recommended the Basil Limeade Hard Seltzer, which also was a great choice!! I will be back mostly due to the many choices of beverages offered other than beer, I appreciate that!

We had planned to eat lunch here but my wife did not like any of the beers. I did enjoy the Urban Haze Vol 6 and Crossroads IPA. I also tasted the cream ale and was pleasantly surprised as that is not a style I typically enjoy. We would have liked to see a wider variety of beers on tap. I will say the food looked delicious even though we did not try it.

Urban Growler is one of my favorite breweries! They have some great flagship brews – I especially love the vanilla latte blonde ale and the cowbell cream ale. They also have excellent food and a decent sized patio which is great in the summer. I recently tried the southern fried chicken sandwich, which was a little bit messy to eat, but really delicious. Everyone else really enjoyed their burgers and sandwiches as well. We always have a great experience at Urban Growler!

Their patio is the best for early spring sunny 50 degree weather day! It is February 13th and I’m in a sweatshirt! Also the vanilla latte beer has been my favorite for the last 5 years!

Made my first visit here right at opening on a Friday afternoon. Arrived about 3:15 and ordered porter style beer that I found to be very good. Initially sat with my companion near the patio door, but people kept entering thru that door even though a sign directed them to use the main door instead to conserve heat in the tap room. People ignored the signs. Finally moved to a new table away from the door because of the cold drafts. Temperature in the tap room was OK but not really very warm.
Had another stout beer which I also found to be very good, then ordered dinner. A Walleye fish and chips dinner was offered for $25. Received two large Walleye filets, a large serving of fries with a slice of bread and some coleslaw. I was not able to finish all the fries. Tater tots were offered as an option to fries. Great food!
Had a third beer (another porter) to finish up the evening around 6:30.
The crowd at opening was quite small as we expected, but there was a very good crowd of families by the time we were ready to leave. Families with newborns to young toddlers were having fun.
All food and beer orders are done at the bar and the service was friendly and fairly efficient. No long delays and our food was brought out quickly. An overall enjoyable experience and I would definitely visit this tap room again.
My companion is a decades long friend and neighbor who is a widower like me. We enjoyed dinners, plays and concerts together with our wives when they were living. We continue to socialize regularly now that our wives are gone. We try to visit new tap rooms 2-3 times a month and have currently gone to over 45 tap rooms throughout the Mpls/St Paul area. I would rank Urban Growler in our top ten locations.

We met with Shannon from Urban Growler to discuss potentially having our wedding at the brewery. Despite choosing another venue, I feel inclined to note how AMAZING Shannon was to work with! She was incredibly communicative, kind, and flexible. She was interested in hearing our vision and eager to help bring it to life. The pricing is affordable and Shannon is willing to work with you! If you have any desire to host a wedding or any event at Urban Growler, please do not hesitate! Shannon is amazing. The beer is phenomenal. You absolutely cannot go wrong with UG.
We will 100% be back for more drinks and events here. Thank you, Shannon and UG Team!!

Visiting from Kansas for a conference & came to Urban Growler to try the UG Vegan bowl, which I saw through the menu tab on Google maps.
I’m not vegan, so I added chicken for some extra protein, but this dish WOWED me. The green goddess dress was so flavorful — absolutely made the entire dish. Equally pleasing was the seasonal brew — the barrel-aged scotch ale.
Just what I needed after a long day of driving! Also great tunes and friendly staff. Well worth the visit!

Haven’t been to the actual place. But they make this THC “seltzer” Cannafizz and it tastes like sweat, like straight sweat. They say its Watermelon Chill flavor but it’s really like drinking sweat, if you could bottle it up. There is very limited fizz, so I feel like the name lied to me!
On the plus side, it has electrolytes! Maybe that’s why it tastes like sweat
And let me tell you about all the things that needed to be added to this sweaty seltzer to make it drinkable: first, a different THC seltzer (it bubbled more and had a “hint of lime”), then sugar free mermaid flavored syrup (legit, Mermaid Syrup from Marshall’s), and finally, Sprite Chill (cherry and lime). AT LAST it was tolerable because we don’t waste drugs overe here!
